anyone Know how much u need to get into OPTEMETRY?

i would love to do that!
Well, first of all, you might want to spell Optometry correctly.

I wanted to do this course (I still may apply, but you need chemistry), and I think you can do it at UNSW if you get 98.00

I think it's assumed knowledge, you don't need it. You can just do a bridging course

where do you get stats detailing the pay of jobs?

I once looked up the bureau of stats, they divided it into groups like professional, administrative so on.

only reason i have a tingle todo it is because I have an inflammation problem in my eye and it gives you an understanding of the industry. which is waiting in line for 4 hours at the eye epecialist.

Don't choose a course just based on pay. If you enjoy a course, you're most likely will have the determination to do well and you can get almost anywhere you want, including a high income. This can occur for most courses at uni.

*sighz* stil deciding as always ..

first choice is do something in history, preferably ancient but the problem is if i can find a job afterwards.

other is something in commerce, but most of the required UAI's are too high for my standards

so yeah i have no clue really >< "
I'm like you! I'd love to do history but finding a job is hard and I'm not sure if I like the idea of teaching... My other interest is Commerce, Journalism (which I know I can't aim for) and Arts... Really thinking now, I wouldn't mind doing Architecture or Psychology... Who knows - There's still plenty of time to decide! :D

Well...
For design courses a portfolio is only required when stated for entry to course?
Its more for art courses that a portfolio is needed, currently i'm building up my photography one.

UAI..hmm well for BA Design (Visual Communications) at UTS the UAI is 93, and there's now a double degree offered with internation studies...UAI 99...

I hope that sort of explains your question a bit more Mitsui :)

I'm still not sure what i wanna do in uni, got a year or so to think about it... :)
Hear hear!

I had NO idea what I wanted to do will about halfway through my HSC year when I sort of got an idea. I finalised my preferances somewhere in September with the option of changing if I wanted to after first-year (so far I've been happy where I am, so good).

If anyone else is reading this and freaking out that "everyone else knows what they're doing", don't - most people will be undecided at this stage, and many more will transfer after their first year of university. :)

You have PLENTY of time!
