Just started first draft
Me- 990 words... 8000 words by tomorrow. EEP!!

luckily (in some ways) we had ours at the end of last term. All has been done and dusted....for now. So, for me, I have 'finished' my draft (3rd) and a LOT more editing to do.

Sounds similar to me... I have until Wednesday to have a "substantial" amount written. I know it's necessary for the teachers to monitor our progress and she's only trying to keep me on track but gah... Honestly, by them constantly looking over my shoulder it's only making it harder for me to work because I get really self-conscious handing over raw "drafts" of my creative writing.

Alas, she's going to eat me for not having enough done.

I guess the main issue is motivation and that 'sustainability' to keep edging forward. Oh, and the constant constructive feedback. It gets to you sometimes when you spend so long on something and your teacher doesn't like it at all.

Major works are so exhausting.

I finished my first draft a few weeks ago, and I'm currently tweaking it a little. It's around 7,200 words.
