Mine took ages. You should just confess now and you'll be forgiven by the time it arrives.

lol...

unless you're planning on checking the mail box everyday i'd say you haven't got a hope.

Fess up, they will probably notice when the points get subtracted from their license anyway.

their points don't just get deducted immediately. the offending driver fills out a form, accepting the points deduction and agreeing to pay the fine, iirc.

in any case Kaatie, just let them know, i'm assuming you're a P1 driver, so they may even be nice enough to take the points penalty for you.

im possibly guna take the risk that it wont come and deal with it if/when it does 'oh it must have been a mistake i will sort it out with the police' etc. relying on the 1% chance that the camera didnt snap me. stupid i know but i can hope...

30 kms over the speed limit? you'd definitely be better off telling your parents now and trying to sort things out.
if not, prep yourself for like a $600 fine and the suspension of your license for 3 months.

sorry, but if you're sure you were speeding and you're sure there was a camera, it will have caught you.

if its been like 4 weeks you should be sweet, speeding tickets usually only take like 2 weeks or so.

Because it slows people down..... the ultimate goal isnt to fine people for speeding, its to stop people speeding and speed camera signs do that. The signs are placed in particularly notorious or dangerous speeding areas and they accomplish their goal quite nicely whilst also generating some lovely revenue from speeding fines.

It slows people down until they're out of sight from the speed camera. Hardly a huge deterrent. It also fucks up traffic flow because people tend to go from 5-10 over to 5-10 under as they go past the camera. They don't accomplish anything except revenue raising.
