I never really got into watchtower. Green Carnation are quite good though.

Are many people familiar with Agalloch?
I like their neo-folk stuff more than when they do metal.

Yeah, it took me a while to get into Watchtower, with their vocalist and all...
The music is what kept reeling me in.

I think they just weren't producing what I expected them to. I had them initially pegged as a power metal band, and it that field they just didn't live up to the standards I had, such as 'Stratovarius' and 'Iced Earth'

Hah, they were one of those bands that helped spear-head tech. metal as a genre. But you're right, the singer definately belongs in a Power Metal band :haha:.

Have you heard Pyramaze, btw? Matt Barlow from Iced Earth featured on one of their albums named "Immortal". It's good Power Metal, their earlier albums are nice too, just without Barlow.

I'm already familiar with Isis and Neurosis, I'll have to look into the others though, cheers.

Ne Obliviscaris are wicked as well. I wish they would hurry up and put out an album though.

Ah cool. A personal favourite of mine is "maudlin of the Well". They're quite...strange and I'd say the two albums I recommended would be best if you were interested but, they recently released an album, that was funded by fans, and, being the nice fellas they are, are giving it away.

Here's the link: http://www.maudlinofthewell.net/packages/motw-pts-mp3.zip

You're not wrong about NeO... can't get enough of their EP.

Yeah, I know Pyramaze. They're quite solid as a band, but nothing really stands out for me.

I've heared stuff from Wolves, Peli, Isis, and Neuro. Post-Metal never kept me as interested as Post-Rock. Red Sparowes and Russian Circles are quite close to Post-Metal though, and their stuff is really good.
