i have 15 fortnightly for 62 minutes, 2 of which i get off cos its sport, which is like an hour and a half, plus every second friday off
ily public school system
I don't see why some school have every second friday off. Some have every friday off >_>. I kind of think it's a little bit of a disadvantage? Personally, I'd prefer to attend school on the Friday like my current school does.

I hate when I actually have to use my free periods for study (which is what they're called at my school. 'Study periods'. I want free time! lol)... but there's always something to do.

Yeah, they are called 'study' periods at my school as well, but we can leave if we want, so its alright. I get 3 a week, 75 minutes each. I do 12 units, but 2 are ext maths + eng, so I have one 1 line free. Only probs is 2 lunch time lessons a week, but it ain't so bad.

Lunch time lessons? gross. Your school should make them before school or after school lessons... -_- I wouldn't give up my lunch for compulsory class time, maybe my own personal study near assessments.... but lunch is for relaxing, cooling down and socialising.

How do you guys get so many frees? I do 13 units and no free periods whatsoever, instead of sport, I do MX1.
Same! but since MX1 is like 2 periods worth and sport is 3 periods worth I finish at 1:50 on wednesdays so I get to go home.

plus, language teachers only work 3 days a week, so instead of 2 doubles and 2 singles a week ... we have a single last period on mondays so we stay back until 3:45 and get our singles on tuesdays free. which is awesome coz it's just before lunch and I go to the canteen and there's no need to wait in the line for hot food. =D

Lulz.

I do 14 units. I only get ONE study period out of my 7-day timetable. :(
We don't get out early in Year 11, it's apparently a "privilege". I have about 4 early classes, no lates.

If it rains I finish at 12 on Wednesdays. Otherwise 2:30. Except, I don't do any work after 12 on Wednesday. Just sport.

+ you are undertaking 12 units... :)

A lot of my study periods are spent on Maths now (if not all of them... because it's so close to the HSC)

True, but mxt2 is supposed to be offline and we have 2 classes after school every week to compensate *sighs

Yeah, math is the only thing you can do effectively in a free besides procrastinating :p

i think the idea of morning classes is stupid. if i ever had morning classes id just rock up looking like a zombie and get no work done. esp in winter.. the whole class would probably be freezing their asses off. handwriting is therefore reduced to random scribbles on paper.
afternoon classes are better!
