Why join a political party? If you have values which you hold true to you, you may be forced to vote against what you see as right for the benefit of the party.

Yuk! Labor and Liberal are both the same. Greens are OK but compromise too much and don't have enough effect. All stances are moderated and compromised, it may be economically functional in the medium term, but no one stands for anything and no one is honest.

Yuk! Labor and Liberal are both the same. Greens are OK but compromise too much and don't have enough effect. All stances are moderated and compromised, it may be economically functional in the medium term, but no one stands for anything and no one is honest.

They are different if you look through the narrow lens of traditional politics.

Similar in the way that they offer no substantial change, just dragging out the same old ideologies. Labor are as socialist as the Liberals are libertarian, i.e. not very.

Compromised swill. Boring enough to keep the masses at bay.

I haven't joined the Libs because of the conservatism. Also while it doesn't prohibit it my employment does restrict how politically active I can be.
