Are Surfing books good for sciences? (1 Viewer)

right now i find them usefull for revison, not for the topic in detail itself because they tend to miss on some points and are really brief

No, you got the wrong perception. Surfing Physics has some challenging questions and it should be used AFTER you know the basics of the HSC. :eek:

Surfing physics is NOT to be used as a study guide, even for top students. :spin:

i use it for chem... pretty good IMO. has some theory (the important stuff only) and questions. lol dragonmaster xyx. our HSC clocks are in sync HEHEHE

Taking it a bit far...a clock for the HSC?? it's enough pressure getting a brilliant ATAR, now your timing yourself..nice. :D

So is a bad idea if I neglect my Physics Surfing book homework? I prefer to practise exam questions rather than doing book questions but Surfing questions don't seem half as bad as dot point which I don't use at all.

don't neglect it, you might find some useful information (...etc) whilst doing it
you can skip the easy parts though

do the questions out of the surfing series... for physics, i just read the info it had, did the questions, and that helped a bit...
and for chemistry, it helped me more than the teacher... so imo they are good

Useless in biology. The revision questions are comprehension.

Many other better textbooks.
