I know id be reluctant. You need to organise it on the weekend, for dinner or something, and make sure you have enough people etc. I agree with jumb, uni meet ups will fail.

Well whole point of meeting up was to meet other BoS members that went to UNCLE. With the location being the university it makes it one step easier as its an universal location as we're all going there one day or another.

Having a dinner meet up is slightly harder, as decisions need to made on which restaurant/cafe/pub to dine at and then you have to have an definate number so a booking can be made.

The other major issue is that depending on the location where the dining will occur, is the issue of getting there for alot of people. Yes some drive and you can say if u dont then catch a bus or a train... but once again depending location it can also determine how dangerous it is to get back home.

University - Universal location, come if you can, otherwise someone will set up other meet ups. Alternately grab the people's numbers and meet up during an common break and meet one on one.

they post with experience (im assuming), we post with ideology.
give them a little credit, they obviously know what they are talking about.
but i do agree weekend is not the best idea, however its the only time that we are definitely free, but maybe we can do it through weekdays if there is like a 2hr gap or so to have lunch together, definitely not like dinner as its pretty dangerous at night or so i hear.

There's the anime club meetings at the GT bar on 4pm mondays that you could organise to meet up at. Just say something about something you'll be wearing that'll make you be easily recognised and all turn up early? Just a suggestion.

I had to re-read that first sentence again... Did you just suggest I show my face at an anime meeting? No thanks...

:p

Yeah, all these experienced BOSers make valid points. It is easier just meeting up with people in smaller groups, because trying to organise something where everyone can make it is painfully difficult.

Nevertheless I enjoy meeting new people at uni so feel free to PM me, we can swap numbers and organise coffee or lunch sometime :)

Most engineers are anti-social nerds who cower at the sight of girls. Seriously, if you hug one he'll probably need to change his pants. I'll leave it to your imagination why!

Oh gees! So sorry to offend! :p
It was just a suggestion.. I assumed because most internet-goers I know are fans of anime that'd be an alright. Either way the GT bar is a pretty smallish place, would probably be easier finding people in there then the brennan room.

Also as a first year Computer Engineering student.. I want hugs.
Anyone here do PHYS1210?
