Oh, I remembered another one (not Nickleodeon) but it was brilliant - you don't get cartoons like this anymore - the Animals of Farthing Wood.

but i always found it sad how the farmer shot.. was it the fox? or was it something else

It was incredibly different - the characters slowly got killed off and replaced :( I was looking at it on Wikipedia just the other day.

awww now i know why that show made me cry now :( coz everyone kept dying

The animals did die a lot :(

I clearly remember one scene in particular, where one of the snakes is half torn to shreds or something and kills a blue fox. And that's just one of many.
