There's nothing about my post that wasn't serious. The Australian Liberal Party has ditched its roots - economical liberalism and parts of social liberalism.

Malcolm Fraser says it better than I.

Don't take it personally - the ALP is no longer a labour party, either.

Wouldn't it make sense to just have stricter environmental controls and regulations instead? ;)
Not feasible in all instances. When you are mining coal one way or another you are going to have to wreck shit up. long wall mining is far more dangerous and expensive than open cut, for example. If we accept that the resources are going to mind the people should be reimbursed accordingly. It is a trade of capital for use of land.

Latest Newspoll shows him getting SLAUGHTERED for being the do-nothing Prime Minister we've all told you he was.

Do nothing on Global Warming

Do nothing on Insulation (EXCEPT MURDER FOUR YOUNG AUSSIES)

Do nothing but turn us into a fascist state with internet filtering

Do nothing but spend our money and increase taxes on the miners that saved us from the GFC

Do nothing

Ugh good riddance who is with me
It won't be so easy for the libs to beat him because of green preferences (And I'm well aware that this must have been said already, but it's the logical criticism of the polling)

the thing about kevin rudd is that what he has done - lied - in his first time is entirely unusual and unreal for australian politicians. like that time that john howard said he would never introduce a gst.

gough whitlam was an honest bloke. AND THE COUNTRY WAS PUT IN TURMOIL AMIRITE?

che
abbott is a phony populist
the only thing his party does is constantly attack the govt. policies
without offering clearly defined policies of his own party

and remember its not about getting the best party in, its about keeping the worst party out
;)

what right doest he government have to tax anyone honestly

good analysis. but when these people need to utilise public services i.e. health, defence, education, welfare, how do you see it being done?

people complain about the public service but don't want to pay taxes to fix such problems. It is these people who are fucking imbeciles.

Tax is fundamentally necessary to all rational, progressive societies. Just look at the social democratic Nordic model, they shit all over us in terms of quality of life, public services, etc indexes.

All these profiles coming out of Rudd make me want to vote him, even though I didn't in the last election.

I'm voting for this ambitious, driven man. (srs)

lol, quite funny. If we are talking about debt, why don't we bring in the greatest nation of them all.

The neo-liberalist, United States.

I don't think you can easily acquaint fiscal and public expenditure with incidences of debt. The US spends proportionately less on it's public services than the social democratic nations, and yet has more debt.
