my parents are much more relaxed than most here.

Mine just tell me that if I do well, its for my own future, not theirs.

Same but if I do well, they won't hesitate in claiming some of the credit for my upbringing.

Same, but my parents say I have to 'not piss around' and actually try. In other words if I try my best my parents are very happy.

Even in Year 11 at my school, there are kids going "OMFG must do well in Prelim to impress parents".

Who cares what your parents think? Just get white parents. Works for me; when I did Accel IPT HSC last year, my parents' response was "Good luck, cya".

Same at my first my parents were the stereotypical Asians who would force me around in yr 11.. every day nag nag nag nag.. "if you don't get into uni you will leave the house blah blah blah"......

but now since im doing alright and im trying my best my parents are supporting me fully :) full encouragement and no downgrading LOL which is cool.
