true, but what if they hire some especial people to do that like a cop or something...you never know....
To my knowledge, cheating on the exam is not a crime. So the police wouldnt have any grounds to search you.

Would be hard to manage, imagine 70~ students come into a hall for an exam and they have to search everyone and stuff but yeah I reckon they should be a bit higher security such as teacher supervising better someone from the other Ext 1 Class in my school just copied off his friend for the whole exam =/
hey ur sig says ur doing psychology 1unit?

If you're not cheating, you have nothing to worry about.

I don't think police are necessary to frisk everybody before their exams. I imagine a student bringing all his stationary in a clear plastic bag and a clear plastic bottle along with some extra teachers for supervision would be enough security in an exam.

At our school we are told that before an exam we should have a clear plastic bag with all of our materials and take our watches off. No one does that though ;)

Many American high schools and colleges do. Australian schools should also.

I personally think this should be done for more "dangerous" or schools with higher violence rates. Otherwise I would feel school was turning into more of a prison, rather than a place of learning and developing of children to adults. Whereas, for 'bad' schools it would turn a hell hole into something livable.

For the SC last year, there were no water bottle labels, calculator lids and only clear plastic sleeves or cases could be taken in to put in stationary which I think is enough. Plus the head supervisor read up a long list of rules and what we cannot have and said that anyone who is in possession of those things (e.g. secret notes) were allowed to put them away at the last minute without being penalised.

More supervisors in the exam would be nice, but I agree with other people here, full body searches are out of question.

Depending on the teacher if I would wanting a body search.

If it was one of those hot young teachers at my school sure of course. Lets have it.

If it is one of those old seedy teachers No

lmao there is literally no way to prevent cheating in the HSC. The common one at my school was people hiding notes on their body and then just going to the bathroom whenever they needed to check stuff. But obviously this can't be stopped (short of a full body strip search) so idk, shit sucks.

Same for mine, except I think we were allowed calculator lids.
I know of some people who cheated by writing notes on themselves.

If you're not cheating, you have nothing to worry about.
That's like saying "As long as you don't have any child porn on your computer you shouldn't have a problem with the police constantly monitoring your computer" or "If you're not doing anything illegal you shouldn't have a problem with the government installing cameras in every room of your house".

Full-body searches are absolutely ridiculous. For starters, it's illegal for teachers to even look through your bags (unless they reasonably suspect you're hiding a weapon or illicit substances), let alone search your person. Even the police need a proper reason to search someone, especially a minor, and they have to go through certain procedures to do so. Enforcing the use of clear plastic bottles/pencil cases is more than enough to stop people bringing notes into exams.

I don't know about everyone else, but at my school there's more than enough teachers in exams. Normally for exams in the hall we'll have about 5 and there's always at least two walking around checking on everyone while the rest stand out the front and keep an eye out. Same sort of thing happened during my chemistry HSC. For exams in classrooms the teacher constantly watches everyone. You'd be extremely lucky to get away with looking at other peoples work. That being said, I'm sure other schools aren't as strict as mine.

Sometimes when we have exams, the teacher just walks out of the room and doesn't come back until 10 minutes later. So unfair how some people ask each other for answers when the teacher is gone. Extra marks right there :(
Just rat on the bastards. I realise it's easy to say that, but there's not much else you can do in that situation. Also, I'd tell the principal/deputy that your teacher's leaving the room during exams, because I'm pretty sure they're not meant to.
