Hey everyone i was just wondering what your thoughts are on the 2006 MX2 exam, I got 78/120, thought it was really hard compared to like 2010 and stuff. Also I was wondering what my scaled mark for that would be?

2006 3U was one of the hardest 3U papers. 66/84 might've gotten you a 94 or 95.

WOW, thats nice to know im doing something good then lol. Yea it was a bit of a weird paper, all of Q6 I didnt get but I somehow got some of question 7 :S

Wait is this thread about the 06 MX1 or MX2 paper? I'll answer the thread in the OP- I thought 06 was one of the easier 4U papers definitely. The Q8 wasn't hard at all compared to some of the other ones that they throw out in other papers (it was an inequalities and then finding points of inflexion from memory)

06 MX1: Also easier ... it was maximisation, nothing that hard. 2008 was a bitch.

I found 2008 MX1 okay. The only thing that really bugged me was the projectile motion question

Edit: Looking back on the 2005 4U paper now, i found the paper really long..

2003 4U I found to be quite easy. The proof that pi is irrational was just tedious integration - nothing more.

Yep, I agree. I didn't get the last part though, I was in a rush to go out and didn't have time to look at it properly. I got 110/120 iirc
