okay can someone tell me what a faking crease on a picture has to do with identity

The speaker gains a sense of identity through exploring ancestral connections. The creased image is symbolic of his tarnished and fragmented perceptions as he tries to overcome the impassable barriers of death and the passage of time....at least that's the bullshit I came up with.

One thing I learnt from this exam: READ THE QUESTION BETTER! I did not read the top of the creative and went quickly adapting it to the stimulus. Thank GOD it fitted well to what I wrote anyway.However, in the extended response I read it as "attitudes TO others" not "attitudes OF others." . God, I hope I'm not completely screwed, still did the choices part decently and the evidence I provided fitted the real question...except I focused more on what the character felt.

You won't lose marks. Heaps of people forgot to last year and still got 14/15

as long as you backed up your answers with quotes from each text it's pretty hard to mess up section 1. Unless your answer is full retard.

Very important to introduce the texts lol

you can't just say

this notion of affinity is thoroughly explored in skrzynecki's anthology etc

then in the middle of your essay

but you shouldn't worry, because they only count your best two sections
