i usually get quite a lot of homework too. I've already had one project for multimedia, currently doing another one and tomorrow I'm getting my first assessment task for multimedia :'(
I'm coping alright.....i guess..... :( ok..maybe not. I'm hating it. I'm not enjoying anything except Multimedia, Modern History and English :'(

Just finished Business Studies Homework :3 + I was just wondering if you guys would consider my subject selection somewhat difficult/easy:

Advanced English, Extension 1 Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Business Studies and Economics

+ Wow I would have the same 2015 subject selection as Tunerloos if I fail to make it into Extension 2 Mathematics o_O
Difficult/ease is subjective. I think if you're really struggling with any of your subjects, that's an indicator of it being difficult for you. If I were to base your subjects on difficult, on what I've heard from my friends and personal experiences though:
EA - AoS is a waste of time, a lot of work for a 2unit subject at times
MX1 - glorious, love it
Chemistry - friends enjoyed some of it, hated some of it, so it depends what you like/don't like. I didn't do it but it can get difficult at times?
Physics - prelim is pretty fun, dropped for HSC. It depends. My school teaches it really badly so idk
Business Studies - seems relatively straight-forward I guess, but our school doesn't offer it
Economics - content heavy, statistic memorisation can be tough if you're not a rote learner type though :p but seems like a very practical subject

MX1
Chemistry
EA
Jap
SOR/Industrial Technology (not sure sorry)

scaling changes every year, and can be really volatile at times, so this guess isn't the most reliable indicator of how "well" your subjects scale.

^ stop procrastinating guys and girls!

Visualise your goals of you walking in your dream uni and ATAR you need and believe in it!!!!
Stay focused and get your motivation up by forcing yourself to start studying and you feel good for the hours you've put in it.
I know it's really hard. The start is the hardest part imo. Maybe put some inspirational posters/quotes on your wall, like: "Some people want it to happen. Some wish it would happen. Others make it happen." — Michael Jordan
Find a quote that you can read aloud and makes you start studying!

Good luck to y'all Yr 11s, when you put in the effort, you will be rewarded I promise!! Go study!!!!!! But don't forget to have fun.. balance your study with exercise/hobbies/going out. Keep yourself healthy physically and mentally. :)

haha that's awesome, keep with that dream! I also have a dream that is not related to school at all, but I don't want to disclose that on this forum. Even if you don't become a famous artist/band one day, making music and playing will make you a happier person :) If you have no idea what you want to do for uni, it might be that it's a bit early for you.. When I was in Year 11 I didn't really know what to do: I was tossing up between engineering, education or business.. I noticed that I didn't enjoy Physics as much as Business/Economics as I got closer to Year 12. So for me, I had the most interest/ had strengths in business hence I'm going to do BCom. See what you are most interested in when you get to Year 12 and probably based on your favourite subjects, find something similar to advance your studies to uni! It's completely normal for you at this stage to feel clueless on what you're going to do in uni, I know some of my friends who decided what they're going to do right before HSC or even after they get their ATARs, so for now just see how your studies will go prior HSC. Also, if you want some good advice, you should talk with your school's career adviser and discuss what you are willing/potential to do in whatever industry. Back to the 'dream' part you were saying, don't stop it.. do well in school and find out what you're going to do in uni (plenty of time, don't worry), but also if your dream is music, then do it! Don't doubt yourself.. because if music is that thing that makes you truly happy then give it a shot. It's definitely worth to try and have fun in.. Who knows? I might be going to your concert in 10 years :p You will regret in the long term if you didn't decide to do what you truly want in life so follow your dream. Even if it fails, you will know that you tried your best, and making music is fun anyways :) All the best with everything!

That's good to take some time off! Just make sure you balance your study and games lol.

I just visualize the rest of my cohort at school doing better me and that's usually enough to get me off my butt and working

Half of my cohort don't give a damn anyway so that's a given for me.

scaling changes every year, and can be really volatile at times, so this guess isn't the most reliable indicator of how "well" your subjects scale.
It's also important to note that the difference in scaling between the bolded subjects is quite small, as opposed to Japanese and SOR/Industrial

To excel in the Section 2 of Paper 1, you must not simply memorise and regurgitate your prepared creative or you must not write on the spot, as this would be an unedited and unapproved first draft. Rather, you are to prepare a bank of one/two creatives prior to the exam that deals with all aspects of discovery and ADAPT and MOULD your creative to fit the stimulus.
