50mm is good for portraits on a Crop sensor since it equals about 85mm. But its used as a standard lens on full frame. Its not too wide and not too long.
They use it for street photography

Yeah I do have a crop 1.6 sensor

Same that's why I want a 28 30 or 35 so it will be equal to about 50..
I just want a lens that I can take anywhere.

I use my 18 - 55mm for my carry around.

Yeah but its really slow really bad bokeh and bad in low light. Plus fixed lenses are a little smaller

Just take on fixed. It will make you think about your shot and make you move

No.. A zoom is more noticeable. Lol. Take a 70-200 and take shots from the roof hahaha.

200mm is not even that long on a full frame though, need an extender. I remember my 70-200 was decent on a crop (circa 320mm), although my mate had a 300mm on his 70D and that is insane (480mm).
