The only person I'd give my resources to is my sister bahaha

Some teachers never attend class and it is beyond frustrating... and yes, school work.

The first post that you see in @jonolad69's signature is my post lol.
💀 is that the rant you were talking about! damn now we got plagarised 😪 I'd like to know why tho @jonolad69

Guys does anyone know if Earth and Environmental Science heavily involves writing?
Coz from my experience at school (we did a bit of it at the end of y10) it does
If your talking about class work it all depends on you teacher, like mine prefers to do more online research task and just talking through concepts instead of writing notes in our books unless its something difficult to understand. I think the most amount of writing i did was for ees was for case studies, the syllabus in year 11, its not to difficult, also went really well with bio.

But for like exams their and HSC papers there is a bit of writing like you have to remember case studies and stuff and obv. know how to do a fair bit of extended responses. But there's also quite a few questions about interpreting graphs and data, so not all just writing. 😺👍

That's what I've been thinking about... doing all subjects in one day is not possible on my end, but at the same time, limiting myself to one subject per day makes me feel like I'm setting myself back.

I could have a five day rotation where I do one paper each day, but that doesn't seem efficient...
I know most people aim for 2 subject per day, at the max 3 but I think 2 is more sufficient tbh

Hey ppl, has anyone used the books by Atar notes- Did you find it useful for questions and notes?
Got given some bio atar notes books by a year 12, the notes were not that great (I've seen better notes posted for free) and the questions were kinda trash, I did not use those books in term 1. You're better off trying to get questions from past hsc papers/trials because the atar notes tests are $40 💀

The only reason I'm using the physics one is because my teacher gave us this stupid assignment (our third assessment task) which is literally just dot point summaries and example questions for every syllabus dot point from module 5 to module 7.

I genuinely hate my teacher for it because it's so boring and tedious.

I have the books for all my subjects and they are a hit and miss. From what I've looked at so far, they are really only good for quick coverage but it skips a lot of content, so if you decide to use them, don't depend on them. Personally, I like their topic tests quite a bit, but they do skip content there too. The whole collection needs a revamp ASAP.

personally i found them really nice for humanities esp legal bc it included every option and my school decided to do an uncommon one. pdh is for the first two core but i think they’re nice just to add to ur notes. i skimmed thru the math adv topic test at a shop but honestly I don’t think that’s worth it if u have 19389192 trial papers online lolll

I have a question about ranking and allignment....

Do all four internal tasks determine our final rank which is then used in allignment?

Do we get two semester reports with our ranks for each semester but then which one is used to allign marks OR is the second one our final rank (after trials) and that is used to allign our marks?

hope this makes sense xd

Thanks

Alignment is a completely seperate process in which your exam marks are increased from their raw marks based on the band descriptors (ie which mark shows b6 achievement)

Moderation is the process used to determine your school assessment mark, which is based on your overall ranking from all of the year 12 internal assessments, and the relative mark differences between those ranks. Depending on your school you may receive ranks in earlier reports etc (some schools won’t give you any ranks and you’ll have to wait for NESA to release them) but they are based on the final rankings, which includes all assessments including trials

oh ok makes sense. So what I was calling allignment is actually moderation 💀

So the last report or ranks we receive after trials include all the assessment marks and ranks and that is used for moderation....right?

yes (except some school don’t include it and then you have to wait for nesa to release them)
