  • Now that would be interesting! I'm planning on reading some stuff about the Russian Revolution and random history books about history people just don't seem to know/learn about. Like, say, the history of Sweden or something. And as much as I disliked most of Ancient, I'm going to have a read a book about Hannibal (we never got to study Hannibal. So disappointing considering he was a genius of warfare).

The Treaty is mentioned in ALL of my topics :( I'm just sick of learning about it I guess.

Gosh you've got three exams in a row! I suppose it means you finish earlier though. I don't finish until the 11th *sigh*.
I think the English exam was pretty good too actually. Maths was a joke for me, haha. We never really got along to begin with. I had Ancient on the same day so I studied more for that because I know I'm capable of getting a better result for it.
Music 1. Most epic music paper I've ever seen! :D

I hope everything goes awesomely for you next week :)
I think I'm totally going to have to start reading more history books after the HSC. Not that I need to know about this stuff but it's just so interesting.

The A-bomb was a pretty interesting part of the topic. It was pretty useless in ending the war though (it's a myth that it ended the war. The Americans just like to believe that that's how the war ended and that it was all them). Funny you should mention the nuclear arms race. There was the dispute about the dropping of the A-bomb and one of the arguments was that it set off the nuclear arms race. One thing I really like about Modern is that a lot of the topics tend to overlap. Though I have to admit I absolutely hate the Treaty of Versailles.

How are your other subjects going? Have all your exams been okay-ish so far?
20th century was last century hun :p i love the wars and how it's all such social conflict really. i mean, the tsar, kaiser and king of russia/germany/brit in WWI were all cousins! i think i enjoy it so much because i'm a psych student and i love to try and get inside their heads :D

feel free to bombard me with any questions about the modern exam if you need with scaffolding essay answers or someone to read over practice essays or anything :)
Stalin. Heh, we studied Hitler and his crazy Nazi party. I gather you got to learn about the revolution and all that?
The Conflict in the Pacific was pretty much WWII in the Pacific. Japan and the Allies. Learned about Japan's take over of SE Asia, the attack on Pearl Harbour, Fall of Singapore, Battle of Midway, the A-Bomb on Hiroshima/Nagasaki and all that. It was probably the most interesting topic I studied actually.
Lucky! I would have loved to have studied Russian history.
I studied Germany 1918 - 1939, Leni Riefenstahl and Conflict in the Pacific.
awesome. hello modern buddy! i did it last year thought for hsc and i'm currently studying 20th century european politics and culture at uni :D

i like modern history games :)
    Let's!
Yay for Modern! I may sound really lame but I've always loved Modern History.
