The lower the f stop number the higher the aperture meaning brighter, also more depth of field.

Shoot manually with the lowest ISO, set aperture to 9 and you set the shutter speed depending on the light meter (either in the middle or a little bit under exposed)

Pretty good if you get the good teachers, but pretty pricey!
