weight training - necessary to work stomach?

I would always suggest to train abdominals unless there is a contraindication associated with training this muscle group, such as an injury. Training the rectus abdominus (ie. the 6-pack muscle) will provide extra stability to your abdominal area. Let's say that you become very strong in all...

    Exercise/Fitness Website

That's a very broad question and there is no way that I am able to give you a specific answer without going through all your details (eg. body type, goals, lifestyle factors, exercise habits etc.). My advice - hire a PT to detail your nutrition and exercise regime in order to aid you in...

Why Am I Exhausted All The Time?

It could be numerous things, some of which have been detailed above. Best bet is to go to your GP and discuss your situation. What you are doing seems great...but it's impossible to get an accurate diagnosis on a public forum :)

If you lose weight, do you lose your chest as well?

Bank$, I have to disagree with you there somewhat. HIIT cardio will result in significant fat loss - far more significant than 60-70% max heart rate. Lower intensity exercise utilises fat as a primary energy fuel source during exercise, but the net adipose tissue (fat tissue) breakdown is far...

8 seconds key to weight loss

Yeah absolutely nothing new. Whilst it's portrayed as the latest and greatest thing, it's high intensity interval training (HIIT) which has been studied for a number of years with remarkable results. I had an influx of questions with regards to this when it was first popularised by the media...

If you lose weight, do you lose your chest as well?

Can't say I've ever had to deal with this problem :D At the end of the day, you and I both know you can't spot reduce. Females will store fat around their chest, thighs and butt primarily. So it doesn't make sense that no fat would be lost from your chest and all fat would be lost elsewhere -...

Spot reducing--what do you think of this book?

Absolutely right. With a bit of common sense eating and a little bit of exercise it can be so easy to get results compared to these fangle-dangle peices of "you know what" that seem to do absolutely nothing.

Online Food Database - Nutritional Information, GI, vitamins, minerals etc.

Thanks...I created it because calorieking lacks a lot of information. The basic stuff is there, but no GI or vitamins, minerals etc. But it generates a hell of a lot of traffic so I figure the amount of work I put into it is paying off.

    pecs

If you are performing weighted dips and wishing to target the lower pecs, you will have to lean over somewhat. Performing dips upright will result in a much greater emphasis on the triceps.

how often do you go to the gym?

Okay minus the jargon (sorry)... 4 day weights split. Changing it up this week so I haven't yet established it...but essentially means I split the week up into 4 training sessions. Train each body part only once per week. eg. Day 1 could be legs, day 2 chest and tris and so on. 4-6 HIIT...

how often do you go to the gym?

Well currently I'm taking a week off to recover (I do so every 7-8 weeks generally). But a typical week consists of a 4 day resistance training split (first thing in the morning) alongside 4-5 HIIT cardio sessions (late afternoon). -- Jay Bonaretti 2005 Aus IronMan BodyBlitz Champ &...
