    How to "answer the question"

i know this might not address ur concern but i cant say i fully agree with an intro deciding your band ... yes it is important as it is the furst thing they READ but u dont want to slack off towards the end as this also doesnt bode well with the marker ... topic sentences r crucial as well...

Please help with part b of this integration question

it is right but depends on the q ... if u got a similar q but it mentioend to use a sub then this would be incorrect however if it just asked to prove it then this would be aceptable

    99.95 atar

tru normally the guys who get .95 will do advanced or even ex1 (quite unlikely they will do ex2 cause they will most likely have 4u maths

    Assessment ranks

yep like the people before me have said only ur internal mark gets moderated ur external mark is what u get so if u were to bludge u could sacrifice a band 6 potentially by not continuing the hard yards through externals

    Dr Du???

haha tru but at the same time u cant get a 60 and expect to get scaled to an e4 but i get what ur saying u still have to do quite well but like compared to standard for e.g u could get 10-15 lower and get the same mark or even higher doing 4u

    Easiest and Hardest Math Topics

stats imo was defo the hardest for me for advanced ... for 3u id prolly say like p and c questions or anything to do with probability (as they can go quite abstract and vague)

Trial Papers Most Reflective of HSC

agree for english we were told cssa (catholic) papers are very good at closely mimicing question styles in the hsc

    2021 HSC

haha u think 30 is bad ... last year ours were weighted 50 and 60 percent for chem and phys ... its good that i did quite well in them but for people who didnt their internals would have gone out the window

    HSC Chem and Physics Scaling

again this was last years results so they wont necessarily translate directly across to this year without some changes; try to aim for a raw mark 5-10 marks higher than required for a b6 to be on the safe side (for e.g if phys requires 81, aim for 86-90 (random example, dont mark my word on it))

    How we goin

yh it can be very annoying and can feel at times like u want it to be done (as i experienced last yr), but unfortunately certain things arent in ur hand. what i used to do was go for walks as often as i could to avoid being locked up in ur room all day and make sure i was staying in touch with...

95+ ATAR with Arts/Social Science subjects?

agree with what jimmy said ... if u put in the hard work u can get any atar u want with any combination of subjects; yes it can help doing high scaling subjects but high scaling only applies if u get a certain mark. our principal last year told us this analogy and ill never forget it: youd...

good maths tutoring for selective student?

online tutoring would be the only thing anyway which would be feasible in todays world so prolly looking up tutors for a decent rate with good credentials

    HSC Chem and Physics Scaling

for chem ur looking at mid 80s and for phys its mid to high 80s

    English Advanced scaling

for internals, i was on a mid 60ish raw mark after all assessments (including trials) and got an 83 for internals (this was most likely coz i went to a top selective school but u should defo aim for much higher than what i got); in a way, i was lucky due to my cohort to get a good external of 89...

    Scaling for Maths Ext 1 & 2

If this is for trials, assuming your aiming for an E4 (Band 6) in 4U, then aiming for a raw mark of ~75 can get u that
