actuary/llb is pretty tough, I'm finding it both physically and mentally demanding, a lot of walking between the faculties in addition to pulling frequent all nighters. It's mostly the stats that's putting me off. I'm not sure about UMaq but at ANU they put u straight away into 2nd year stats...

Yeah I agree man. Hell I participate when I can keep my eyelids open. Otherwise I'm like "fuck it". It's not too hard to catch up in law imo, spend a good day reading and i'm all good.
