    Good French phrases for writing?

Bonjour a tous! I was wondering if anyone knew sophisticated ways of opening and closing a letter. I've been using, par exemple, "Chere Maman, Comment vas-tu?" and it's so bland. :S And any phrases that I can shove in my writing that would sound good? :P Thanks in advance. :)

Help with Halving the interval/Bisection method!

I'm a bit confused with determining where the root lies (hope that makes sense). Say for example, Show that x^3 + x^2 + x + 8 = 0 has a root between x = 1 and x = 2 and use the bisection method twice to determine the root. Skipping the showing a root exists bit... x = 1 and x = 2 xm...

Future Plans: What ATAR/course/job are you aiming for?

No, I really am interested in those courses. It doesn't hurt to set a goal, but if all else fails, I am planning to do International Studies at UNSW.

Future Plans: What ATAR/course/job are you aiming for?

It depends on what UAI I get. If I'm lucky (or work extremely, extremely hard :( ), my first preference would be Combined Law with International Studies at UNSW (99.15), then Arts (Media and Communications) at USYD (98.00), then Arts (Languages) at USYD (97.25).

What you gonna do if you fail HSC

I wouldn't say all asian parents, probably most asian parents, certainly my parents. I have asian parents and anything less than 95 UAI would be disappointing for them.
