Ahhh I did mine at 11 today! It feels so good now that it's over!!

Is anyone doing anything at school

The only reason I'm doing anything is because I'm doing music prac HSC at the moment. And that isn't even at school.

    Projectile Motion calculations!

I just stated it in my physics trial. We don't really need to derive it for physics when we know what it is, or should be.
  4. Emma-Jayde

    Help, suggestions???

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same situation with physics at the moment. My teacher has been called to do jury duty, and the legal system won't let him out of it, because having a year 12 class going though the HSC at this time of the year is not a valid reason. So, we have a sub for the rest of...

    Projectile Motion calculations!

This is because physics is not maths. Solving a maths question using physics is just the mindless substitution of numbers into a formula or 2. It requires no effort and next to no logic to achieve the correct answer. In a maths exam they want to see that we can actually apply something...

You *know* you're a chemistry nerd when...

*Cries* You can't do that to Queen! *Cries some more*

    Gal Pos-cat Neg-an!!!!!!!

I just got lost with the whole Gal pos-cat Neg-an thing. I don't see any logical way to remember that. I trust in my red cat and an ox, and oilrig.

How do you convince ur parents

Be nice to them. And beg and grovel. Point out all the good things you could gain from going, how it won't be interrupting study because you're finished school, that you'll be responsible and you won't do anything they won't like. Otherwise, you could just go. Sometimes it's easier to get...

You *know* you're a chemistry nerd when...

Hmmmm. Sound very fun, making bombs. My teacher won't let some of us anywhere near certain combinations of chemicals. :( Why?

    Gal Pos-cat Neg-an!!!!!!!

    ^^^ What? ^^^

Dot points, dot points = Boring

HSC exams = Straight from syllabus = dot points = course content Which means that you have to know them. Why not try learning what you're summarising from the text book. That's the general idea of summarising something, to learn it. And, if you're only learning the dot points, you...

    Have you ever...

"What are some of the properties of a red star?" in physics. As I was staring out the window at the time, my response was; "Big, red and relatively cold...." Turns out the question was "Describe red shift...."

    Favourite Chemistry Term

Phenolphthalein It just rolls off your tounge soooo nicely!
  14. Emma-Jayde

You *know* you're a chemistry nerd when...

I want a badge now!! -When you hear the word 'peptide' on television and immediately think of amino acids. And picture their structures in your mind. -When you pick up a pen and wonder what the pattern would be if you used chromatography or electrophoresis.
  15. Emma-Jayde

    HSC performance dates

Hey, why do you all have to be there for so long?
  16. Emma-Jayde

    Chem assignment

Yeah, we can't help unless you tell us the question.
  17. Emma-Jayde

    MX2 and Jap extension

Exactly. I was told that MX2 and music ext are a bad combinaton too. I'm doing really well in both. It's all up to you whether or not it's a good combination. If you work hard, it will be. If you don't, well, it probably won't work out for you.

    Any instrument players?

Damn straight the voice counts as an instrument! It IS an instrument. :D I did!
  19. Emma-Jayde

    2005 Independant, Q7 c) iii)

*Smacks self in head and looks at question again* I soooo should have seen that!! I think I need a brain transplant! Ahh well, I guess it's lucky I didn't have to do the 2u paper...

    "I love public schooling"

Looks remarkably like the kits we get given. Box falling apart and all :s Also the finding of cockroaches is not unexpected... But, we've never cleaned up with a cloth. That's what the paper towel is for. What were you doing?
