For me, each semester=13 weeks + 1 week mid-semester break + 1 week Stuvac + 2 weeks of exams.

Well if you screw up 1 or 2 it is OK, so long as you have a good average at the end of the semester. Try to do well in all of them though. Don't ever say "It's only 10%, I can make it up later..."-because you just get busier and busier and it is harder to do well later on.

The only thing you need to do is keep up. Start studying early, especially if you have a lot of subjects (damn people here with their 4 subjects :rolleyes: ), because you only get 1 week of Stuvac, and you may have assignments due til the end of the final week. (they should give you a timetable...

Some lecturers do advise you to do certain stuff, but they don't check.

That would be like Guy going on World Idol and singing in German-disappointing. She knows she's not gonna win, but thats her. And she seemed happy with herself anyway...even when she was flat out told she wouldn't win.

yeah...but as if she would have had a chance anyway. If she had have sung in English it would have seemed a bit fake I think. And I doubt her home team would be that happy about it, cos she had always sung in her native language.

I reckon the only other good performance, (aside from Guy, of course...because I have to say that ;) ) was the last Guy from Norway, who sung Beautiful Day. I think he was the only one who picked a good song. If anyone besides Will Young (who, by the way, sounded like complete shit) or Kelly...

yeah, exactly. I presume the only reason someone would want to repeat the HSC is to get a better UAI to get into UNI...but if your already at UNI, why are you worrying? Or if you are hoping to get a better UAI to get into a different course, then you are kinda wasting your time getting a year...

I think english should be compulsary, but not necessarily have to count to your UAI if you do mmore than 10 units.
