Should Adv./Int./Stan. Maths do the same paper?

I think it should be across the board, like it is. That way they don't need to scale anything. None of the advanced students I know had any problems, after all, they should know all the work from the 3 levels. EDIT: So yeah, basically the same reasons as Exphate's.

Why You're Not Good at Certain Subjects...

Maths: As long as I can remember the required formula, the process to me seems logical and easy, except circle geometry, where there's like 4000 'properties' to remember. English: Analysing stuff and trying to make it smooth when including quotes and stuff is hard. History: Too many dates to...

    General Thoughts: Computing Studies

So were there even supervisors? I take it you could easily glance at other's screens. Our school is doing it pen and paper. Don't hesitate to tell us the answers to any harder questions :D

    General thoughts: Geography SC

I put 130 too. I thought relief was the top - bottom. I was looking for 290. But then I thought, maybe it's meant to be an average, so I put 130. :S

just wondering what happens if you forget to write your student number on a page?

Chances are, you wrote in the same font (your normal handwriting) and colour. You may also be the only one, so it's a simple matter of working it out. If they collected in rows like for ours and kept them in order, your paper may be #25 in each pile or something.

    What Band?

Already 6 in maths, hope for 6 in computing and 5 in everything else.

    General thoughts: History SC

Same. I was going to do removal of tertiary education fees (man I wish we still had that), but I wasn't sure if it was a 'policy'. Maybe 'equal access to education' policy?. I just BSed about how Whitlam didn't believe in war *shrugs*.

    General thoughts: Geography SC

    It was exactly 24mm = 1000. I measured it as 132mm: 132÷24=5.5 5.5x1000 = 5, 500 :)

    Time-wise, how did you go?

I only had about 5 mins left after geography/history. Probably because I spent heaps of time thinking about what to write. I filled up every line, hopefully they can pull a few relevant points out, then decide I spouted enough drivel for full marks :D

I'm certainly not. Band 5s hopefully.

    General thoughts: History SC

Same. None of the answers seemed to quite 'fit'. I was after a "whites didn't think aboriginal people could take care of themselves" or something.

Haha. For one bit ours read "address and welcome students then read the instructions". Surprisingly only a few people laughed.

    Vietnam War HELP!!

-Some considered it to be more of a civil war issue South vs North Returned vets: -Received no support -No thanks -No counselling -No Congratulation or meeting -Medal in the mail -High levels of depression, some committing suicide

    General Thoughts: Science SC

I put 'ovary'. it said 'Where are eggs stored?'. Seeing as there's only one at a time and it alternates each cycle. You could say they are stored in 'ovaries'. It's probably programmed to mark "ovary", "ovaries", "ovarie", "ovari", "overy" as correct as it is an across the board exam and NOT a...

    General Thoughts: Science SC

Re: Science SC Yes, but it's a text recognition system. It might accept any answer with 'flask' in it.

    General Thoughts: Science SC

Re: Science SC I think that they would be flexible with some of these. Flask or conical flask should be correct. If anything, 'conical flask' is more correct.
