    High Court of Australia

I did a major assignment on the high court if you need specific info on it...functions etc...but if you are looking for specific cases only then the first link given to you on this thread is a good one. You can get to related pages by going to the high court's home page http://www.hcourt.gov.au...

What To Do When Your First Draft Is A Piece Of Shit?

I agree...it's a very dangerous thought if you keep repeating it up until the day or week it's due and then suddenly realise your mistake. It's easy to lose track of time, but work steadily at it and you'll be fine. You do have time, but don't let that fact be a reason for you to think you don't...

    Communication peeps

I did approaches to communication second semester last year. I found it to be an interesting course, and the tutorial presentation isn't a big deal. I don't like presentations, but it's not a huge ask. It seems like a long time to have to speak, but if you bring in a relevant video, show a bit...

    Proposals

So long as you know what you're doing you'll be fine. Though that being said it's normal to change the focus of your major work a little as you go along...it's all part of the process. Af far as knowing where you should be goes, I think everyone would be at different stages...as long as you work...

    how much is too much?

I don't think you can have "too much" provided of course that the info that you do have is relevant and helps you in some way. There is no reason why you can't start writing with the reseach you have, keep an eye out for other stuff, and use that either later on...or go back and edit the...

    transfering

Yes uws does have a guaranteed internal transfer scheme. So if you get above a credit average you will be able to transfer from one course in UWS to another. You may not necessarily be able to transfer straight into the second year of that course though, this would depend on how similar the two...

    Level of English

the recommended level of english I suppose really depends on your chosen degree, some degrees may suggest advanced english, though this is not necessarily required. As a general rule, as cape says, any 2 units of english is fine...and you will improve the english skills you need as you get more...

    absent :S

I think you'll be ok...just go to your tutor the next week and make sure that you didn't miss anything important...though going through the unit outline is somewhat important. If you really want to do something write an email to the lecturer...there should be an e-mail on the tutorial...

    Why bother doing it

what you get is a piece of paper that proves you know what you know. It may be boring but a certificate II in IT is worth getting, something to put in your resume. If you can get this playing games than all the better for you...though somewhere down the track you may learn something you didn't...

    WebCT

yep, and then you click on specific units...and a page for that unit will come up with a range of different things on it...it's pretty easy to navigate and understand once you're logged in ;)
  11. Jacks

    WebCT

good good...once you make sure you have no pop-ups blocked or firewalls up it should work...let me know if it works.
  12. Jacks

    WebCT

WebCT password initially is your bithday...in long format e.g. 18031986 (18 March 1986) your ID is the same, but you have to use a different password for WebCT...you can then change it to whatever you like ;)
  13. Jacks

    WebCT

So you can actually see stuff when you log in...if nothing appears at all, from this stage then check you don't have any pop-up blockers enabled...that will affect being able to see the page. If it is the notes themselves then it could be a number of things...make sure you check the FAQ on the...

    Private Buses concessions

If you're in a hurry to get your private concession card it may be a good idea to go directly to your closest depot, that's what I do to get my busways concession, they do it right in front of you...all you have to do first is fill out the little pink form from the student centre and get it...
  15. Jacks

    id card

they accept concessions, but apparently not this form...though I thought public buses accepted them...I just know that you need to contact private companies directly and lodge a form to receive a concession pass from them.
  16. Jacks

    id card

Sydney buses don't accept it? I've never tried but I assumed public buses would accept it. You can still use it on trains though. Busways doesn't accept it because they are a private bus company, they won't accept your student ID card either. To travel on busways you need a special concession...

    id card

I take it you don't have the other concession card that they give you in high school? You know the one I mean? If you have that you can use that until you get an ID card, as it doesn't expire until the end of March or something like that. Don't worry though you should be able to get one soon.

    Studentmail

I'm not sure...but if a message was meant to be sent it will be re-sent when they realise there was no message included with the mail...I wouldn't really worry about it though, if there is something you need to know they'll sort it out, though maybe it wasn't meant to be sent at all? Just check...

    Textbooks

Some tutorials first week, before the lecture won't happen...but this depends on the subject...so I'd turn up just to make sure. If the tutorial does happen then they will tell you what you need to buy in the tutorial. They will give you a unit outline, go through the expectations of the course...

    id card

yeah the sticker on your ID card entitles you to concession travel on trains, amongst some other forms of travel, like on sydney public buses (private companies require their own pass.) You won't be able to use your other ID if you're referring to one you used in high school as that expires...
