    books>>??

yeah you shouldn't buy them yet, you'll get a unit outline on the first day of each subject which will tell you what you need to buy. There are lists of books on the coop website, but a lot of the time lecturers subtitute one book there for another, or add or take one off the list etc. It's...

    Getting Started: Major Work Proposal

it's very well written though I do suggest that you write something about how your major work links with yr 11 or 12 english advanced or extension 1. The link doesn't have to be an extremely obvious one, but it has to be there in one form or another...most people tend to get a little creative...

    help with lectures/tutorials

that's right, you have plenty of time, most lectures finish about 10 minutes early, that is they run 50 minutes each...some will run a but longer but you'll still have plenty of time. Tutorials don't start right on time either, tutors give students a bit of time to arrive and things like...

    Proposals

there are a few things that you need to do in order to score well. Firstly it is really important that you explain your intentions, that is what you hope to achieve through your major work, what it will cover and why and perhaps a little about your motives (though this should really be discussed...

    Missing Lectures?

obviously taking holidays during uni isn't encouraged, though seems you have already booked the holiday it doesn't seem like it can be avoided. As a general rule you have to attend 80% of the tutorials for each subject in order to pass...a lot of units that you do may not call a roll during...

does bankstown campus have a gym

really?? what's actually gone? I knew some were closed, but I thought that was only for a couple of days or something like that, the majority of time I was there they were open...

does bankstown campus have a gym

that's right, there is one down near the oval. If you're interested in the prices for membership etc I suggest you go in and enquire, you are free to do so and they'll probably give you a flyer or something like that which you can take. The price depends on how long a membership you want, and...

Are some of the units registrations still not opened?

if you're worried keep checking just in case it does open, that won't hurt, though as cape says perhaps you don't need to register. I'd check on the progress to see if it opens every now and then, to be on the safe side, just in case there are clashes that are being sorted, or something of that...

    a little question about registration

yep that's right you register your selections for each unit separately. They will then be processed and you will get a confirmation of your selections. After this confirmation appears you can click to go back to the "tutorial section" where you can make your selections for your next unit and so...

    Subject missing?

are you enrolled in this unit? If you are enrolled in the unit then you should call the student centre just to see what's going on. If you're not enrolled and should be, then you'll have to send in a program variation form...if the status of the unit is unconfirmed you'll just have to wait until...

    i'm an idiot

no worries...that's what we're here for...no need to worry if you fax it through to them it should be up on time, let us know if you have trouble finding the contact details of your home campus :)

    i'm an idiot

yeah I'd say that would be enough time, so just fill in the form and fax it away and everything should be fine...don't worry though, you're not an idiot we all make mistakes and this one is easily fixed :uhhuh: Here is a the form if you haven't already accessed it...

    UNI gear

yeah technically you do need permission to tape a lecture, so it's really important that you check with your lecturer first, like cape says some don't mind, but others do...though having a tape recorder is not essential, a lot of the time you will find that taking notes is good enough...it's...

    timetable??

hehe no worries, but yes don't show up to the uni, that wouldn't be good...:p as natstar says classes start from 28 Feb, so you've still got some time up your sleeve to get sorted yet.

    timetable??

nono classes don't start tomorrow, only the registration for them...don't stress!

    Uni nerves?

it's normal to be nervous but don't be scared, everyone is going to be in the same position as you, I'm sure you will settle in quickly and find new friends and everything like that. Lecturers and tutors will be fairly accommodating as you get used to how things work, though I'm sure you'll be...

    Pride and Prejudice Script

ok guys try again now...it's working, well at least for me...if you have any further trouble accessing the site let me know...remember it isn't the whole script, it's the best I could find though...I do suggest you copy and paste it into a word document or something and save it, just in case...

    UNI gear

well I haven't noticed many people with them in my course either, but I suppose it depends what you do...by all means though if you feel more comfortable typing I suppose you could do that...though maybe you could write first and type later? personally I couldn't be bothered carrying it around...
  19. Jacks

    Text books

yep, course readers are basically a selection of readings/articles put together by lecturers...you'll be assigned selected readings each week and they will cover the topics addressed in lectures....so a course reader is pretty much full of material that is related to your unit, and is useful in...

    TUT Registration

I think that's right, the not enabled ones are reserved (at least on my timetable) which I assumed meant that they wouldn't be open for registration...I suggest you plan around reserved tutorials.
