Tutorials, did you get the times you wanted?

It's not exactly normal, but it does happen. If you have a clash, particularly one involving a core unit (is it a core?) it is probable that they will let you move to the tutorial of your choice. This all depends on tutors, student numbers, and whether anyone else wants to move from your desired...

    Room locations

I'm not sure either...I'll see if I can find out for you. Though I'm sure if you know what building you have to go to you'll be able to find it once you're there. ;)

is the concept of truth too cliche

I'm not sure, but that would seem extremely stupid since our major works are supposed to demonstrate a link to our other english classes...I don't think taking a concept is a problem, if you do something different with it. Though these are questions you guys can ask if you go to those EE2 study...

What To Do When Your First Draft Is A Piece Of Shit?

I agree, though I really do feel you should get someone else to read through it. I realise that you may not want to do this, since you are convinced it is bad...but I really thought the same thing about mine and I got 47/50. It might not be as bad as you think, and the comments you'll get from...

Tutorials, did you get the times you wanted?

well yes at tutorials they do take a roll. What you can do, which I think is what natstar meant is go to the tutorial you want the first week and see if they can squeeze you in there. If you have clashes they will probably let you...though this depends on each tutor and lecturer, some are more...

    uws e-mail??

the webmail part of the UWS website seems to be down at the moment, so don't worry if that link doesn't work at the moment. Most new student accounts should be up by now...you use your student ID and account password to enter, your password should be the password you created when you activated...

is the concept of truth too cliche

that's right, I mean markers will be marking a large amount of different major works...so I'm sure you'll be covering something someone else has covered in some way. It's really hard these days to come up with something entirely original...so just go with what you think you'll be able to convey...

    Email working for new students

yep, for your student mail you use the same password that you use to access platform web, so whatever you came up with is what you use...just keep trying maybe they haven't set up everyone's accounts properly yet ;)

is the concept of truth too cliche

well I think it depends on how you approach it...what exactly did you have in mind? You might have to be a little more specific, though there are always new ways of dealing with concepts so if you take a fresh approach it should be fine.

Buses from Blacktown station to Blacktown campus

    Email working for new students

I think all mail sent to either of the three e-mail addresses end up in the one inbox...so not to worry cape, the alias is usually a way of contacting the person without knowing their student number...for example using their name instead.

Buses from Blacktown station to Blacktown campus

have a look here: http://www.uws.edu.au/about/adminorg/devint/cwf/services/bus busways is the right company...the link I gave you will provide you with the bus no. you need. You can then search for the timetable by selecting the appropriate routes here...

Do you get a printed timetable?

each lecturer and tutor will have a different way of recording attendance. As cape has mentioned usually a role is not taken during lecturers, because the amount of people present makes this difficult, and of course time consuming. Although a lot of students take advantage of this and do not...

    Buses

well usually no one presses the button before you get to the uni because it's assumed that the bus driver knows to stop there, obviously when there are a lot of uni students on board, and of course they need to pick up passengers...no one really bothers for that reason...maybe people just...

Do you get a printed timetable?

you won't be given a timetable, I just make my own...you can use the timetable from tute reg, but if that's a bit hard for you to follow with all the different options and subjects just copy and paste all the details into a word document, and put them in a table, with days, times etc...that way...

Tutorials, did you get the times you wanted?

I know, they changed the times on me too, which I had planned around, but it really only affects one week so hopefully I can sort something out. I got most of the tutorials I wanted, there is only one that was full before my selection was processed, which has now resulted in a 2 hour...

    the 20 min limit.

you're welcome, sorry it's stuffing you around, it can get quite frustrating....all you can do is try and log on a bit early, but not early enough to have the session time out. I usually have the platform web sign in page up and sign in about 5 minutes early, so hopefully you'll get to the page...

    the 20 min limit.

I thought that only happened if you weren't active during that time? I'm not sure if it still happens but usually sessions will time out...but in my experience it won't do so if you're actively using the site, it generally happens if you just leave a page up and don't do anything with it for a...
