    Dawsons Creek???

yeah, tell me about it. Like what they portray is even a realistic interpretation of the conversational language of college intelligensia. and then there's the misquoting of the dialogue which occurs among ordinary laymen in society as a result of religiously watching too many episodes of...

    the bold & the beautiful!

people have been saying that Ridge and Amber should get together, seeing as they're into each other's hair so much. i'm not sure how I feel about that.

    the bold & the beautiful!

yes, I'm a fellow fan. it's terrible. I've watched the show since I was ten. Does anyone else remember when Brooke went lunatic and hid in this cave, pretending these two little dolls were Rick and Bridget? All the people who hate her out there wouldn't if they saw her in that...she was v...

    Memorising

Do you mean ROTE learn? because it varies with different people. I can't abide learning by rote, it's the slowest way to learn. I'd rather not memorise an essay and just use points in an exam...that way you can compose a fresh response to the question being asked. if you try to memorise...

    4 Unit

there's different kinds of 'trouble'. The good kind is the challenge you get from being able to figure out difficult problems. The bad is the sinking feeling your get when you do an exam and there's too little time and too many questions. Both are inevitable as a 4unit student, and will...

Can Uni's find out your UAC preferences?

I guess they do know your preferences though, I got a Dean's welcome letter from USYD for law too.

Can Uni's find out your UAC preferences?

did you apply for any usyd scholarships? they ask for a degree specification. the universities aren't supposed to know...but then again...I was interviewed for a science scholarship and they knew more about me than I did...

    Regional Entry Test

Yeah, although personally I could never work in business myself. I guess some of the people who want to do med generally have a passion for it. I just feel sorry for those who do, and can't get in. Even though UNSW lowered their cutoffs, there are still going to be many who are disappointed...

    Regional Entry Test

Yeah, I got in on my UMAT results, I think. I did the interview during last school holidays. Prestige is such a flimsy thing. On the surface, doctors get prestige due to their 'role' in society. In reality, crusty and boring executive businesspeople get treated much better, work much less...

Which is the best private school? have your say.

sorry, to clarify the above - I always thought that year 12 at all schools start in term4, and the term earlier thing was only adopted by school so that year 11 would also have 4 terms.

Which is the best private school? have your say.

yeah, we have that system at our school too. Although I heard that the BOS doesn't officially allow the school to start the students on the next year's syllabus until the beginning of the calendar year. That's for all years except year 12, starting in term 4. Of course, since when did...
