How did your business exams go?

Company Law - Wasn't too bad. My answers were average though, so hopefully they don't mark too hard. Audit - Exam was easier than I expected it to be, which was good! Again, some of my answers were pretty average and I know some of them here and there were wrong, so hopefully I still did...

    sproUTS

hah, that's my signature! :p I'm a sprout(s) and have been for the past 3 years. It's pretty cool and I very much enjoy doing it. You get to give people advice at open days, careers markets, school visits, and so on. You have to know your stuff about the IT courses though and also be able to...

    Campbelltown Campus 2020 Project

The uni wants to sell off land in a fast growing suburb (one which is running out of a space pretty quickly). As with all the unis, they are low on money, and this would be excellent way to make money by selling off assets which they don't use (ie. excess land). I think its a good idea and it...

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

Well Internet Commerce is hardly a taste of IBT. Wait until you do AIT :p

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

heh, well if you want to be technical, I forgot Intelligent Agents in Java as well :p. I don't know much about Network Servers so I didn't say anything. It sounds like a pretty practical subject I guess. Take a look at the subjetc outline on the START.IT website. So I guess you didn't end up...

    Christmas Casual Hiring 2005

Well depends on the place you're working at I guess. You guys working at the mail centres won't find it as boring because you have more stuff to do and get to play with the big machines! The hub people just sort white mail from coloured mail =\.

    Christmas Casual Hiring 2005

hehe well you can always stretch is a little. I used to have 20-25 minute breaks. At least you guys are working at the bigger mail centres. The hubs are so boring! Have fun at the training day guys and let me know if they show you guys that 20 year old video on proper lifting techniques :p

My study plan is messed up :/

Well not much, besides choose another subject from your sub-major. You'll have to do SDP before PMQA and ITPS, then you'll need PMQA for SITPP.

Data Structures and Procedural Programming worst core subject?

The final exam isn't too hard, so don't worry. At least its all MC (well I hope it still is?). Don't let it put you off programmiing though, especially .NET. The .NET subjects are great!

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

I did AIT and SDP together in the same semester as well. Wasn't too bad I suppose?

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

Well you have a number of options. You can do another IT elective if you want. You can do IS Development Approaches in Autumn if you want, or better yet, why don't you do some of the other subjects in Spring instead, like App Dev in VB.NET and Distributed Databases? You don't HAVE to do your...

Do Silver Service Taxis Cost the same??

Last time I caught a taxi was last year! Went from UTS to North Ryde and back again. The trip up there was during the afternoon peak and it took twice as long to get there! From memory, it was about $35. The taxi driver was driving as fast as he could, but there was peak hour traffic all the...

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

Yup, you can change your sub-major provided you haven't started it yet. So yes, you can change it during Autumn or at the start of Spring if you want.

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

I believe they have added the Internetworking sub-major to the BBusBComp course as of 2006 (it wasn't available in the past), as long as you do Networking 2 as your IT elective. You can check with them if you want.
