Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

If possible, do either OOP or IC in Autumn 2006 instead. That might be better. At least that way you also avoid evening classes for one of the subjects too! You can then do the core IT or Business subject that you replaced in Spring 2006 instead.

    What's your WAM and GPA?

I calculated them myself. We don't really get WAMs until the end of our degree. I was told my degree's are graded seperately, however I'd prefer them graded together so I can get a Distinction for both.

    Retail For Life???

All I'll say is that you should do what you enjoy doing. You'll have a lot more fun doing a job that you enjoy doing, rather than a job that you don't really like but you feel like you should be doing to earn some respect. You should look forward to work everyday as it will become a major part...

what format is on standard resume

Arial 11 for me for the text and bold for job/education titles. Arial 14 bold for major headings. I keep mine simple as sometimes you have to paste it as plain text.

    combining accg with law

Well the CA program is supposed to be harder. I heard the CPA program is easier and it's more internationally recognised as well. Thanks for that link! I've never seen that before :p

    combining accg with law

Well, you can do Foundations with only 2 year's of uni (but they don't recommend you to do so :p). I think most people would wait until they start working, because most companies will pay for it, which is an advantage.

    Questions galore

As far as I know, because you're in the pre-2006 course, you are still allowed to do 26133 Business Information Analysis, but you have to do it next year (so anyone who enrolled pre-2006 is able to continue under their old course structure). I believe you might be allowed to enrol into 26134...

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

I assume you didn't get a copy of the sub-majors and electives booklet then? You can find them here: http://start.it.uts.edu.au/w/ugrad/electives/index.html

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

You should do as your IT elective the one that is recommended to you, which is 31465 Object-oriented Programming. It will help you the most as you'll get exposed to programming in Java. You will learn all the stuff from Programming on the Internet in Internet Middleware Programming and Advanced...

    combining accg with law

Yeh, most people seem to start their CA program through where they work, since you need a certain number of months of work experience (well for anything after the 1st module). I'm not sure if I want to do the CPA/CA (but I guess I have 10 years to decide). I'd personally do the CPA if I didn't...

3 unit bridging course... from general maths

If you've only done General Mathematics then you might need to do BOTH the Mathematics and Mathematics Ext 1 bridging courses. Uni's like UTS offer both and maybe some other uni's do as well. For Engineering, you'll definately need maths, but if you're looking at something like IT or...
