My maths problem.... (To drop or not to drop?)

You HAVE TO do at least 12 units in year 12, so NO you won't be able to drop maths. As well as that, as per my knowledge, commerce and economics have some portion of maths where at least 2 unit maths is necessary.

    Gravimetrical Analysis - Help

5 INSTANCES where gravimetric analysis is used: 1. A mining company wants to know the composition of a particular ore which is located underground to check if it is financially viable to engage in mining the ore body. 2. A health authority wishes to know the composition of the air near an...

    General Science question?

Well with chemistry, quantitative refers to expressing something numerically, qualitative refers to expressing something using words. This is as far as my knowledge is. Maybe I'm wrong.

How hard is it to attain a HSC mark of 97+ in Ancient History?

[/B] You know who I'm talking about, the one who apparently sits with year 7's at lunchtime and has a whole lot of 18+ material on his laptop and asks students for their addresses.

How hard is it to attain a HSC mark of 97+ in Ancient History?

Can't say so about the science department. Moodle Half-Yearlies for Prelim Phys, Chem and Bio. 2 band 6's in chemistry, 4 band 6's in physics and a pedophile teacher. Students getting marked down in biology in ONLINE ASSESSMENTS for writing "safety goggles" instead of "goggles" - that's some...

How hard is it to attain a HSC mark of 97+ in Ancient History?

. Your school had 1 band 6 in Ancient History in 2011 and NO BAND 6's in Ancient History in 2010. I don't know who's telling you that most students got low-high 90's, but they're obviously misguiding you..

    Should I drop physics?

If you're crap at it, drop it. Physics (and chemistry) will be relatively practical. Scaling will only affect you positively if you do well in your subject. Plus, Chemistry and Economics scale well, and Modern History and Biology come after those three subjects. So don't worry about scaling, you...

What do you want to be when you grow up (new troll free thread)

What made you want to do astronomy? -- given that you aren't doing any sciences nor a calculus-based maths course.

Will i still be able to get 98+?

Penrith has ONLY ~15 with 97+?! WTF?! my school is only like 8-10 ranks above yours yet we have approx ~30-35 ABOVE 98 each year..
  13. theind1996

Will i still be able to get 98+?

That wouldn't make a difference given that the selectivity of the school only began in 2010, for which the cohort will graduate in 2015.

99.45 ATAR: QUAKERS HILL/BLACKTOWN REGION – ENG, MATHS, PHYS, CHEM & ECO

LOL that was sarcastic. I've heard from a few friends that Penrith only got 4 band 6's in chemistry and only 5 in physics.
