    HSC study camps

I didn't go, but I considered it...didn't get my shit together fast enough though. But yeah-they are supposed to be very helpful, I don't know anyone who has regretted going to one, however some of them are quite expensive. If you don't want to pay a fortune, some Churches run them very...

    Help........Im feeling bad about this!

You can still get 83 if you pick up the pace a little from now on...but remember that you will have only yourself to blame if you don't get it. No one is gonna hold your hand while you do the HSC, and it is entirely up to you to keep yourself motivated and on track. I know thats easier said than...

    Anyone do Pharmacy?

You only need to have done the course in the HSC if it is pre-requisate-not assumed knowlege. Basically-it means that when you go to a lecture-the lecturer will assume you know everything from year 12 chemistry, and won't explain everything from the beginning...so it will be tough at first, but...

How many CDs do you buy?

If you want cheap CDs go to Dirt Cheap CDs on Pitt Street...all CDs there are $10, I've found so many bargains.

Strange items in people's common rooms?

We didn't get a common room.:mad1: We tried to get one, but the stoopid board of education said that we weren't allowed one...if we used a room for a common room, they would come and take a classroom away. We tried writing to all those crappy home renovation shows and stuff to see if they...

    Fave author?

Who is your favourite author? Mine is Nick Hornby...I love the way he writes, there are so many moments where you just stop and think "That is so true!" He really captures the way people think an act towards things-even though in theory it may sound totally stupid when actually written down...

    i HATE finanical maths..

Yeah, financial maths sucked major arse. Soooooo repetitive!

Do you lose marks if you write to much

I think you could actually get penalised if they said "Write about 2 perspectives" and you wrote about 3 or whatever...but I doubt they would ever word a question like, they would probably say "write about at least 2" or whatever-which meant that in theory you could write as much as you liked...

    Unexpected observations (2002 HSC Data)

I'm still surprised by the small amount of people who get a band 6 for General Maths! I've always been 'Poster Girl For The Average Student' when it comes to maths, but I breezed through that course, didn't even get around to reading the second half of the textbook before the HSC, and somehow...

How many CDs do you buy?

Burning only works out when your friends have good taste in music.:(

    Assessment tasks!

Heh...I have an assessment task due in 2 1/2 hours and I haven't started. (it is only a short essay...) I'm lovin' this!:D

How many CDs do you buy?

How often does everyone buy CDs? I didn't realise I bought CDs so often, but about a month ago I tried to figure out how many CDs I had bought last year, and I calculated that I had bought about 50. That is like one every week...which when you need to save money for UNI, is too much! So I made...

    holiday work

Not the whole thing...mostly just the court scenes. Our teacher was trying to show us how you can appeal to higher courts and how people use precedents...cos y'know, those concepts are just SO tough to grasp. ;)

    Getting into UNI

There are NO guarantees when it comes to the cut offs! Last years UAIs have no bearing on what they will be this year (although in most cases they should be more or less similar...) The cut off will just be set by this years demand...and cut offs may also change a lot depending on whether the...

A little Help from my friends

It would be much, much harder. I think that the social side of school life is about as much a part of school life-if not more-than the actual schoolwork, and it would be horrible seeing everyone else with their friends and you being alone. :(
  16. B

    holiday work

It won't be that bad...just think of it as studying. In fact-you'll probably learn things a lot better going through and doing it yourself than you would in class. But yeah, that sucks-the teacher really has no excuse for being disorganised liek that. I did Legal Studies last year, and we had...

    For Year 12's!!!

How true. How fucking true. The end of year 12 is so bitter-sweet...the last day of school was probably the nicest day of my life (cos everyone in the grade manages to forget about all the little cliques and alliences for a few hours...), but now when I think about it, it makes me feel...

is my HSC all but over!?

For fucks sake...did you even read what I wrote? Do whatever you want...as I said-there isn't a thing wrong with aiming high. But I think it is very disappointing, arrogant, and a little defeatist that anyone would see their UAI as some sort of identity. It's one number.

is my HSC all but over!?

OK, well that is all fair enough (a little pointed, but yes, I see your point.) Well, I guess you shouldn't base your life around what other people think. If the course you want to do has a cutoff of 70, and you work really hard and get a perfect 100-you will feel absolutely fantastic when you...

do we *really* have to read module b texts?

Well, I didn't do cloudstreet...but generally speaking-I think a lot of peopel manage to get away with just reading summaries. But obviously-you will most likely be in a better position if you actually do read the book. But yeah, it is usually quite easy to fake.;)
