Even if I did get a top of the state in a subject I don't think that the BOS could ring me cause my phone line is never free (as I'm on the net all the time).

I doubt many, if any students at selective schools contain students that get a UAI of "30 or below", other wise there is no way they could have got into the school in the first place.

I was in the merit list last year for mathematics and mathematics extension 1 (both accelerated). Just a question, if I get physics, chem, adv. english, and mathematics ext 2 (8 units) over 90 this year can I still get on the HSC allrounder's (10 units over 90) list even though I completed...

Last year 4 unit maths was the top scaled subject in 2001 (except for a language) and I can't see it being any different this year.

yeah but the people who do well far outweigh those who get "30 or below" thereby minimising the damage. This is in stark contrast to a public school, where there are likely to be more people who get "30 or below"

Besides, in light of this thread, I think the results heard were for the yr 10 school certificate not the HSC.

Jeez, they are aiming very high then. The top mark at my school ever was 99.7 You must go to a private or selective school or something
