What UAI's are they expecting?

They must be real close then. At my school I should easily get the top UAI and consequently dux cos I do top-scaled subjects and do well in them, unlike any other individual in my grade.

why don't they just award dux based on who gets the top UAI. I reckon it would be embarassing if you got dux and didn't get the top UAI.

I need 99.4 to get into B science (adv. maths)/ B law at sydney uni. I'm expecting around 99.5, if I go really well could end up with 99.8, but if I go crap it's more likely to be 98 or 99.

Yeah I agree, just like that quote on the bored of studies page states : "Remember that an archer, at long distances, must aim higher than his target in order to hit it."

Yeah I couldn't do the HSC again and go back to school. Besides there are always other options to get into the course you want to do at Uni, rather than slogging it out at school again.

That's true because you don't know how well the rest of the state has gone.

That's true, even using lazseeker it can only give you an approximate idea of the UAI you may get had you sat the HSC in 2001. Obviously for 2002, there will be changes.

Yeah originally, after the HSC exams I felt as though I would get 99.5+ now I feel a little less confident as the HSC results come out in 3 days time.

I'm looking at UAI of 99, or there abouts I pretty much aced all my subjects in the HSC (4 unit maths, physics, chemistry, and english) except for IPT which I think I will go close to failing lol. Luckily it won't count :gridnod:

Yeah it would have to have been the school certificate cause the results are already out. But statistics regarding this year's HSC and student performance can only be revealed once everyone knows there HSC results.

The little boook is entitled "you and your UAI", everyone should have got it in the mail

That's a pretty low average report mark

I reckon the reason why physics has become english-ised is because they want more people to undertake the course, i.e. those who aren't good at maths, and the BOS has succeeded in doing that. However physics has always been maths based and should have stayed that way. We get tested on english...
