The "OMG I've Finished the HSC" thread

I'm really jealous... but well done everyone! Are you all enjoying that sweet, sweet freedom? :D
  2. elisabeth

    Do it all again

If you mean really, like go back next year and repeat, no way in hell. If you mean turn back time, maybe... I'd like to think I'd be more organised, but it's doubtful. So nah... I'm a bit over it all now. Then again, see on Dec 16...

    Genetics option

Same... but even though I studied it, I'm still glad there was nothing from part 8. It sucks :P With linked genes, if it is a case of the DOMINANT alleles (A and B) on the same chromosome, ie. linked, then the ratio is 3:1. This question had A and b on one chromosome and a and B on another...

    Is GEOGRAPHY worth IT?

There is a lot more to learn in modern (HUGE, really, the syllabus is a book in its own right) than geography. If you're after a subject which will require the least effort to get a good mark (trust me, you can get above 87 if you put some work in) then do GEOG.

how to get a job @ subway?

    Just males? :/
  6. elisabeth

    Too late?

Yep, it is modern. I would rather drop it than have mediocrity on my report. Well, a band 1 is less than mediocre even. But some background for the people who are curious: I, unfortunately, paid no attention in class all year. Still managed to come first because it's mostly assignments...

Did you by chance study specifically what ended up being in there?

I've never been like that for bio, but in my modern trials, during recess before the exams I crammed frantically on the home front and what do you know, it ended up being the 30 mark question :D
  8. elisabeth

    Too late?

I'd rather not have anything for the subject in question than have a crap mark on my report for the subject I have put very little effort into. So: firstly, is it possible? Feel free to dispence advice after this is established :) Thnx

    Repeating HSC/Transferring Advice

Yep, at that age I would look at all possible alternative methods before considering repeating the HSC. Just some things: - 80+ is a good UAI. You might do similarly after repeating, which would be a waste. - What course do you want to get into? Would anything you've learned in the HSC...

    Too late?

Is it too late to drop a subject? Who does it need to be cleared with - your school, principal or BOS?

    German Beginners

I just went out to buy it... wtf? Is it not out in AU or something? HMV, Sanity etc. didn't have it.
  12. elisabeth

    German Beginners

Hey, I completely forgot about Rosenrot! It's out? Ok, I'm going out to buy that now :D I know what you mean though, I like them a lot still, but the first album I got (Mutter) will always be the best... the classics...

    Spiel

    smart arses

Don't be like that. What one lacks in abilities, one can make up through hard work and a bit more effort.
  15. elisabeth

    Going crazy or just stressed?

Haha, yeah. FUUUUUUUUUCK I'm so itchy. It's messing with my mind!
  16. elisabeth

what irritates you in the HSC exams?!?!

    I reckon we need stamps.
  17. elisabeth

    Going crazy or just stressed?

Mentally, I'm not too stressed. Just one more subject to go, which I'm pretty sure I'll fuck up. Still haven't started thinking about studying. I'm so laid back I'm horizonal. BUT - I woke up this morning and I'm covered in a rash! ALL over my stomach, on my arms, on my back and neck...

    How did everyone go?

My first pref is 97.4.... second is 68 :P

    German Extension HSC Predictions

My extension prediction: Dreamerish and knoblett will nail it :D Good luck guys *bows out of thread of subject she doesn't do*

    Genetics option

Haha, damn, didn't even notice that. But still, I think cause I wrote about complementary structures - ie. lock/key type shapes - that should be valid. Because the diagram could have had 3 bonds between each and would still have 'fit'... you know what I mean?
