    New Mods?

one from each side? well thank fuck, really. for a minute there i was beginning to believe that politics and the human imagination were complex, fluid concepts. i'd almost given up on the whole left/right dichotomy. but there you go. i don't think we need moderators, really. well maybe...

    chilling out @ UTS

it does get a bit trendy at times, eh but it's the design faculty, you can hardly blame them *beats lexi about head with regulation-issue giant black folder, returns to drinking tiny coffee*

    Australian Political Parties

communism and traditional marxism shit me sometimes, because they place class struggle in front of everything else (womens', ethno, queer, etc). been reading some interesting stuff on autonomist marxism recently. i could post up links or readings if people are interested.

    Firefox Quickstart Guide

converting the world to firefox makes sense. it has better support for plugins and 3rd party development (as seen above), better support for web standards, and it's more stable / less exploitable than IE (IE's market share is dropping away, hurrah).

i guess its nearly official, we are all screwed

hmm. now where's that "does god exist thread". (now we've got watertight proof that he doesn't)

I hate people who delete topics.

since when does army service = good leadership? this is stupid.

    iPod Photo

yeah i don't think the whole 'lets-bundle-as-many-things-into-one-case-as-we-can' thing is a good idea. who wants to watch movies on a tiny screen? i'm even a bit dubious of this ipod photo. the ipod sold so well because it did one thing and did it very well. now with this photo stuff, i'm...

dad's done medicine (anaesthesia). mum did occupational therapy ages ago, and she's almost finished a part-time fine arts degree. i'm doing graphic design, so there's probably some influence in there...

    TAFE Vs Uni

from what i've heard, billy blue is quite expensive. but ask about scholoarships etc, cos i'm sure there are a few of them. tafe graphic design courses are apparently very hands on, very practical, without such a heavy theory side. there's a big focus on portfolio development and working on...
