    Phtotelectic Effect

whats not in the syllabus? just stopping voltage, or all of the things i stated in my 1st post?

    aas

wait sorry now im kinda confused.... so, when the light passes through the flame, what happens? does some of the flames electrons absorb some light? and then the detector absorbs the LEFTOVER light, and uses this info against a callibration curve to determine the amount of cation? :S:S

tests for ions (cat and an)

nah i believe mecury is best for me, as for biology, i also used it for my non-infectious disease...so 2 in 1 xD ill also have more info for each

    ugh..

sorry guys..anotehr dot point @_@ i needs help with Perform an investigation to model the behaviour of semiconductors i srsly cant remember any of these pracs...i think we went to usyd to do em, but i forgot lol, so anyone got any ?? thanks ~

tests for ions (cat and an)

ohh dude, yeh about that....my in-depth one is mecury....... can i do that? lol?its not partof the cations from the previous dot point tho....... *hopes he doesnt have to change it*

    electron volts

oh wow lol ..cant believe i didnt see that... thanks lol

    Phtotelectic Effect

SOrry, but another q.... in relation to the photoelectric effect and the E=hf and c=f . wavelength formulas... do we need ot know frequencies and wavlengths of certian lights? so like, UVL, red light, green light, etc?

    electron volts

hmm google is my friend..i got 1 eV = 1.6 x 10^(-19) Joules... is that right? so 1 eV is pretty much the same number of the charge of a proton, but its in joules..
  9. syriangabsta

    Phtotelectic Effect

sorry but does anyone have the formulas for those i listed above? if so, could you please post them? ty

    electron volts

hey guys, i need help in converting values to electron volts...what is an electron volt? and how many joules per electron volt? etc thanks~!

    What did Davy contribute?

hes only important coz of us. if we didnt care about him (which i dont), he wouldnt be important @@

    Phtotelectic Effect

    ahh okay thanks

tests for ions (cat and an)

do we need to memorise all the tests, there chemical equations, and results? ..and all we need is Anions: Chloride, phosphate, sulfate, carbonate Cations: Copper (Cu+ or Cu2+), calcium, lead, Iorn (Fe 2+ and Fe3+) and Barium... or is that too many? or not enough? syllabys doesnt...
  15. syriangabsta

    Phtotelectic Effect

Do we need to know the following things? like is it part of the syllabus? Work Function Kinetic Energy Threshold Frequency and Stopping Voltage... and do we need to know the formulas for calculating them? thanks!
  16. syriangabsta

    2.3

    oh okay sweeeet thanks ^^
  17. syriangabsta

    G force question

I agree.. its quite stupid how a textbook claims otherwise...what if lets say the markers in our hsc think the same way a textbook does, and put the answer down as 2.75... then all those who are okay at physics, put 2.75 and get it right...and those who are leet at physics put 3.75 and get it...
  18. syriangabsta

    Stronger acid

wow ownage. id still like to know what the answer in the textbook was @@
