Yeah yeah, blame it on the rain...
haha, oh well, you guys had your fun last year, had to let someone else have a go. I am glad for Penrith though, John Lang had to go 18 years at the Sharks without a premiership so I think he deserved it.
I used to... our club folded though, our instructors moved to Papua New Guinea :P
It was fun though...I was never all that good (lack of co-ordination had something to do with it..haha) but we won the marching comp in the first year we entered :D That was tops.
What club are you with?
I would just like to say to all roosters supporters out there...
HAHAHA!!
You all thought you were the greatest but you LOST :P
I am quite pleased with the result. :) Go the panthers.
Hopefully the Sharks can do something similar next year instead of sucking like they do now :S
We did it this year... it wasn't a bad book as far as English texts go, I got a bit sick of it but it gives a fairly good range of ideas to write on. All in all I didn't think it was a bad text to study. Good luck to those doing it next year! :)
I have it and I think it's good... you obviously have to know the stuff first, it's not 'Learn HSC Mathematics in a Month', but for revision questions and stuff like that it's great :)
Hehe I have the exact same problem... I find that with the quote sources paraphrasing (is that spelt right?) works well. Just try and remember the historian's point of view and work that in if you can't remember the whole quote.
Otherwise I am in the same boat so I can't really offer...
As far as I know, the stuff about the king's death was a direct quote from Herodotus, it was in a textbook we used, so I'd say that's pretty genuine.
The Karneia, the Hyakinthia and Gymnopaediae are all Spartan festivals, and the cult of Artemis Orthia I would assume relates to her shrine, so...
Existentialism???
Are you nuts?
We studied that briefly in ext.english and it would have to have been one of the most boring concepts ever... that Sartre guy was nuts.
In any case I would recommend going with something you will be comfortable with... trust me, there's nothing worse than...
Help...?
I have absolutely no idea how to go about studying for Ancient. I have tens of thousands of pages of notes, and then hundreds of pages of summaries, and summaries of summaries...
If anyone has a good way to go about memorising and stuff please let me know because I am kind of...
I used Portrait of a Young Forger in my trial, it was pretty useful as it focuses on the war. It's a novel by Marion Pretzel (I think...). It served me well so maybe it'll work for you.
I used Forrest Gump too, I know the whole movie thing sucks but if you're stuck it's a good text. :)
Hey, I know all you guys must be sick of predicting UAIs for people but if anyone could take a few minutes to give me a rough estimate of what I am looking at I would be very grateful.
Subject ........ Mark ........ Class Average ...
Yeah I thought it was a good one, my teacher tried to tell me not to use it because it would be too hard to write on (??) but I used it anyway.
Well I would have used it if I had had enough time in the exam, I ran out at the end and I ended up only writing on one piece of add mat :P
I got the flippy thing...it's so addictive, I played with it for about 20 minutes. :D
Not that it convinced me to go to Wollongong, their media courses aren't as good as other places.
The one where Flanders sends Homer away to become a missionary...that is a good one.
'But I don't even believe in Jebus.....save me Jebus!!'
And the one where Homer wrecks his BBQ and becomes an artist...my favourite Simpsons' quote...
'Why won't you be art?!?'
Classic, and reflects...
Hey all
I was summarising my notes by the syllabus and i found that we missed an entire section in class. We didn't do anything on rockets and launching and stuff, and very little on g-forces.
If anyone has some clear summary notes on these sections I would be very grateful if they could...
Yeah, history and memory is a bit of a shocker but I actually did quite well in it in the trials.
Don't stress about it, there's no point in getting worried about older marks. Just study up and you'll be right.
As far as related texts go I had the book Portrait of a Young Forger and...
