    Rules for Customers

Bloody customers taking the wrong order... I work at Oporto, yes, I know it's a pain to wait five minutes for freshly cooked food and truth be told, I'd rather serve crap that's been sitting there for hours if it means getting rid of annoying customers faster - but here's the deal, I'm not...

    School funding

Yeah, because that's so feasible in low income areas. It's not like people have a right to a free education or anything, there are more important things to pay taxes for, like war and politicians' salaries.

    Best Biology Textbook

No maquarie study guide? That's pretty good for revision, I prefer it to excel because it explains the prac dot points. Heineman - very good. Bio in context - lots of information but not as clearly 'dot-point' sorted as others. It's great for researching stuff in more detail. Success...

    Biology study game

I'll do o for you then: osmosis the movement of water across a semi-permeable membrane from a high concentration of water to a low one (requires no energy)

    School funding

The thing I dislike about the issue is parents who assume the only way to get a good education is through private schools - both those who are wealthy, part of the old boy network and attended only private schools themselves (and therefore have no knowledge to judge public schools with), and...

    Rules for workers

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to chrissie_t again.

    Exchange Students and Native Speakers

Yeah, keep it - even if you don't do brilliantly, you can get band 6s in your other subjects and get a mad UAI. The thing is, we all started off as beginners sometime... and I'd rather be not so good at something for a year but several years in the future, be fluent - then you'd be glad you...

    Rules for Customers

OPORTO (based on experiences during yesterday's shift...) - Don't walk up to my register and say you want a chicken burger. Read the menu, idiot. - There is an obvious queue. Don't stand to the side of there in a huddle with your giggling friends and then get pissed off because I haven't...

    Thing at Goethe Institute

Yeah, I just looked at the subjects you do, nobody I talked to did that combination. It was a good day though, wouldn't mind going again (especially if it meant missing something as boring as King Lear...)

    Thing at Goethe Institute

I was pissed cause I got up at the crack of dawn and arrived on time... only to be kept waiting for aages. I was in Blau 2. Which school do you go to? Maybe you and I saw each other or talked and didn't know it.

    Thing at Goethe Institute

We don't have to wear a uniform though, right?

    I hate school

I'm loving it. Everyone says you realise afterwards how fast it goes by and how much you'll miss it... well I'm feeling like that now, all nostalgic and shit. The actual HSC exams are the only annoying blip on the horizon.

    annoying limit

Yep. Which is why I'm trying to learn to cut down on stuff now when I won't get many marks deducted.
  15. elisabeth

    annoying limit

I know this isn't the best strategy to take, but I would rather lose a mark for going over the word limit but get full marks for content, because I know I've included it all... this won't help me in uni, but if I slowly improve at making stuff concise... I've written so many essays which are 50%...

Bio students, your 1/2 yrly results here

I'm sorry if it came off like that... *is a perfectionist* However, apparently most of my class are hovering at around 50% for that test... which I doubt many people would consider a good mark. I meant really that my mark only looks good because most of the others did badly, it's not a brilliant...

Bio students, your 1/2 yrly results here

88% but hey, it was first. On the other hand, the fact that people are just more mediocre than me is really nothing to be proud of. I know the dot points pretty well but made a few stupid mistakes - better get doing some practise papers then.
  19. elisabeth

    Thing at Goethe Institute

Well, lucky you. Of course, -my- teacher will never nag me for not handing in homework, not turning up to a lesson, being late... :P I wonder how many people will be there then, if it's open to all schools.
