gaz didn't violate his contract, he had a get-out clause which he chose to exercise. also, he didn't just skip the country without telling anyone. (can't remember what happened with gower, but i don't think he did either of those either)

the bulldogs offered sonny bill a 3-year $500000pa contract, but he specifically asked them for a longer-term contract and voluntarily took a pay cut in return. anyhow, even if the contract was a dud, which it wasn't, that doesn't excuse him skipping the country in the middle of the season...

apparently he was booked to do a couple of charity gigs which he's now just walked out on. what a class act.

he gets $400000pa, which isn't small change. in any case, nobody forced him to sign a long-term contract for that amount.
