I was overseas when it all hit the fan (just got back today), but I did all of my enrollment for Commerce at UNSW online while I was away except the part where I have to choose my classes and such. I think i'll save that till after I go to the advisory session tomorrow... it's all bloody...

There goes my chances of getting into commerce/law.. :) One question though... If you do a combined degree with Commerce, is there any chance you can still do two commerce majors?

My dad has no problem with it - although I've gotten the "don't get anyone pregnant" speech quite a few times. I can see why girls would have quite a bit of trouble getting their parents (especially their dads) to accept it though...

It's impossible to rank every Uni in the world accurately (based on teaching), as that would require one person or a group of people following a very strict criteria to attend every course at every Uni in the world. I take all this ranking business with a grain of salt...

You'd need to enrol as an international fee-paying student. This means that you pay full fees for the course, and dont get the benefits of the government loan under HECS. All international students studying in Australia are under this system. Albeit, Uni's in Australia are much cheaper than...

Just accept the TAFE offer and when the Uni offers come out on the 19th of Jan, you can decide whether you want to pay or not before the next day. No harm in accepting if you don't have to pay up front.. :)

Not sure if this has already been posted, but always back up theory with what's happening now. For example, if it asks for how an exchange rate can appreciate or depreciate, back it up with something like "The Australian dollar has recently appreciated against the US dollar due to...."

How essential is the UNSW Info day? I ask this because i'll be overseas when this is held, and want to know if i'll miss anything important that i'll have to check out when I get back...

Just get it right the first time and you won't have to waste a year...
