What I want to know is why are there so many clubs exclusively for asian people? Why do they have to distance themselves from the other students just because they have the numbers...

I've got all my tutes done, but the first two "lessons" I have on my first day of uni are tutes, then a lecture. Does that mean I only have to turn up for the one hour lecture?

Hey guys, Is there anywhere I can find a list of the clubs and societies at UNSW? Also, are there any non-nerdy ones like a beer club or food club? :)

Basically CA is a lot more difficult, takes longer and is more in depth, but is regarded as a more professional qualification. CPA on the other hand is larger and easier. I found that out from an actual accountant so i'm gonna do CA.

Is the UniPass the password i've chosen to login with at my.unsw, or is it the one you pick up when you go collect your student card? I've done my timetable and selected my classes (it says i'm enrolled in them so I think it's OK), but when I go to accept the terms and conditions it asks me for...

But do I have to do that course 1st year or will I have plenty of space to do it second? There were two accounting subs as core so I chose the two finance subs as my electives for this year...

LOL and you're doing law... that's even more boring! :) Anyway no point in continuing this discussion - different strokes for different folks I guess.

For those that have made this decision already or are in the know, what are the tangible differences between ICAA or CPA? Furthermore, which is better to join for someone majoring in accounting and finance?

Sure, but why not learn something that will aid you in financial stability in the long-term? And then outside of Uni study any other topics you're interested at your leisure.

Don't see this as a dig against arts/social science/other general interest degree students, but can someone please explain to me the point of doing them outside of personal gratification? I mean, what sort of job prospects, aside from scholarship, does an arts degree or any of these degrees...

After going to the advising session and reading the various UNSW pamphlets, i've come to the conclusion that the best combination for me would be Accounting/Finance both interest and skill-set wise. I have a few questions though which current students' help will be invaluable in answering: 1...

I'll be there for the 27th Jan one because the whole process of choosing subjects is pretty confusing....and that will give me a chance to pick up my Uni card as well...
