Lampard may, just may actually find his bitch ass on the bench next season, depending on how Essien performs. As long as Makelele's fit, he'll play, and the Chelsea midfield can accomodate only 2 of Lampard, Essien and Ballack. I'm not too worried about Ballack, he's a luxury that they didn't...

Well, if Henry gets injured, you can bet your life on Cisse starting a couple of games, for his pace if nothing else. He's also scored more than his fair share of goals this season, considering that he's played at RM whenever he's had a start.

For the latter part of the season, Lampard has been quite simply, as the English would say, 'pants'. Gerrard for golden boot? Pretty unlikely, seeing as how England will struggle to make there way past the QFs again at best. But yes, it's nice to see him finally getting some of the recognition...

Well there hasn't been any news of Kewell's injury yet. Fingers crossed it's not the same thigh injury that kept him injured all last year, because if it is.. well forget Kewell for this WC, and the next WC too, because he'll never return to the player he was at Leeds again.

Congratulations to the Reds :D It wasn't pretty, but it was good fun wasn' t it? One game too many for the lads though. 63 games in a season is a hell of a lot to handle. If we had managed to get a round further in the CL, we would've been humiliated by Barcelona. On another note, Craig Foster...

2-0 Liverpool. Cisse, Kewell :D I definitely hate United far less than the average Liverpool supporter. Don't hate Arsenal either. Chelsea though..

Tottenham are a big club, no doubt about that. Wouldn't put them in the top echelon of European clubs though would you? I rate Berbatov pretty highly. I get the feeling Defoe is on his way out to be honest. Jol was just a bit to disappointed that he didn't make the World Cup squad. A good World...

Team of the Season: Reina Finnan Carragher Terry Gallas Gerrard Makelele Cole Rooney Van Nistelrooy Henry Can't believe so many of you guys aren't giving Reina his due. Most clean sheets this season, and conceded the 2nd least amount of goals. Silvio Berlusconi has 'let leak' that Sheva...

    Your dalliance with The Classics

Hm.. only read 12 from the Time list, pretty pathetic. I'm not sure where the worth of such a list lies though. Only post 1923, and only written in the English language? What kind of a reader would select reading material based on these criteria?

    Last movie you've seen?

Saw Mission Impossible 3 with gf last Thursday. Pretty good as action blockbusters go. Hoffman made the difference I think. Saw The Searchers in film class yesterday. Exceptionally dull. John Ford insists on making every shot a vehicle for Maiden Marion's rugged manliness, which stopped being...

He's scored 20 goals from RM this year for Liverpool.. so I don't really know what you're on about. Gerrard has quite frankly been SHIT for England in the holding role, the fact that he's a good tackler doesn't make him a holding CM. He's too indisciplined to just sit, tackle and pass ala Makelele.

Based on current form, Robbie should've been picked. Based on medium term team development, it should've been Defoe. Walcott hasn't even so much as played a Premiership match, so picking him is really pretty nutty. I'm guessing that if England by some miracle secure top place before the last...

Aurelio is available on a free, so not a waste of money at all. Ronaldo is better as a pure winger, Gerrard is a playmaker who plays on the right. Most of the best players in the world won't play in the centre.. see Ronaldinho, Nedved, Zidane etc. Playing on the right allows Gerrard more...

A defender isn't urgent for Liverpool, we've got 2 quality players everywhere at the back except on the left, apparently we're picking Fabio Aurelio of Valencia so we won't have to use the likes of Warnock and Traore. Gonzalez looks incredibly promising, but unfortunately he plays on the left...
