Best off doing something professional. What does a maths and finance degree qualify you to be? Im not sure.... Combine it with engineering, law or accounting or a professional degree.

Surely you would want a break after studying? Rather than tutoring school kids?

It's pretty easy to get a Clerks job. I got one straight after HSC but I turned it down as they wanted full time.

You seem to have missed the part where I was talking about grads. And I think omnidragons post makes sense. Although the people I talked to alluded to the fact that that is normal for a grad. Maybe they caught a bear cold.

2months holiday - training you mean. And I have heard from people who actually work in ECM/M&A that they did work 100 hours a week. And bonus is not that huge for grads. Im sure grad auditors are around 8-5ish.

WSJ, marketwatch, FT, dow jones newswires (can be a bit slow though). Newswires are good if you sit there on a computer for ~12 hours a day. It can be very boring and isolating, so you tend to read newswires back to front even if its about boring consumer sentiment surveys.
