    Laptop for uni

Yeah anything in the realm of 15" is going to be heavy to lug around, looking back at it, I should've probably stuck with a 13" or smaller.

    Laptop for uni

Take care of your back now when you're young, take it from someone who had bad habits and hunching and now has back/shoulder problems (though slowly being made better, can't really 'fix it'). Especially with the increased hours you'll be working at uni, particularly with design software.

"a higher uai suggests greater chance of succeeding at uni."

This entire premise is based on a very fundamental flaw: no course is equal or standardised. The very existence of scaling and all those other formulae are testament to this. The biggest issue going into university is that you are required to use differing skills in order to achieve success...

"a higher uai suggests greater chance of succeeding at uni."

While I won't discount that memorisation plays a part, university learning and high school learning are substantially different, but this is dependent on which area of study you go to. I'd hedge a bet that the more structured degrees will possess more of a linear approach, whereas those with...

Macquarie also has an internal transfer policy, which is umm 12 credit points (4 subjects) and a GPA of 2.0 (pass) if I recall correctly. More information here: http://www.reg.mq.edu.au/undergrad/current/currentstudents/coursetransfer.htm

    "Thinkers, take up the chalk"

Source Must've missed this, but hmm I wonder if that is the answer, I know a fair few bright academics who would probably crash and burn in high schools these days, but thrive off the more intellectual surroundings of unis.

    universities artificialy inflating UAI cutoffs

Well if anything, the fact its getting media coverage may hopefully put to bed the idea that UAIs = prestige etc. Though I must admit the whole thing has calmed since I went through it, doesn't seem to be such a high importance being placed on UAIs and prestige, though it still happens (and...

Rofl, its more like your usual top down flight shooter thing, ala Raiden, 1942, but the difference being unlike those games where the enemies bullets hurt you, Ikuraga features a function where your ship, depending on which colour it is, can absorb your opponents bullets. There are two main...
