    enrolment help

I think if you contact a branch of the Tax Office they can give you a certificate saying that you've applied for a TFN, which the uni will accept as long as you give them your TFN as soon as you get it. This might vary between unis, but it should be in your uni's enrolment instructions somewhere.

    First-year history

You might have a point there. I did the Russian revolution in Y11 and WW2 in Y12, so it could be partially going over old ground - which has positives and negatives, I guess. Anyone done 1500-1750, 1750-1914 or Australian history?

    the amazing race

Will Seven be showing TAR10 next or are they going to go out of order again and show All-Stars a couple of weeks behind the US? (Half the All-Stars are pretty crap, by the way. But I'll watch it anyway.)

    First-year history

Hey, thanks a lot. HSTY1044 sounds pretty interesting from that, although I'm not totally sure about HSTY1076. I'm tempted by the Middle Ages, but probably only because we barely studied them at school.

    First-year history

Starting my BA this year and I'm planning to do history as part of it, so I'm trying to figure out my subjects. I realise that this is partially in the Subject Reviews thread, but one or two of the history subjects for this year haven't been reviewed at all and some of the reviews are fairly...

    USYD vs UNSW

This is year 7 - 10? That'd be it, then. Lots of girls are bitchy then and either drop out of school or settle down in year 11 - 12. If you do years 7 - 10 at one school and years 11 - 12 at another you're going to get different impressions of them because people behave differently at the...

    What do I do?

The order you put your preferences in doesn't influence your chances of being selected for them. You'll be given an offer for the highest-preference course that your UAI makes you eligible for, no matter where on your list it is. So as far as I know, there's no reason to change your prefs...

    What do I do?

You'll automatically be considered for any preferences above your Main Round offer in the Late Round, and if you get an offer you can withdraw from your previous enrolment. So the advice all the unis give is just to accept your Main Round offer, and if you get another one later you can switch.

    questions..

I don't think that they're the same, but you might want to check with the university.

Bachelor of Arts at USYD. No surprises, and it's all good. Even better, my sister and my best mate both got their things as well, so there's a warm glow everywhere.

Same as last year. It's been up as high as 99.60, I think.

Yikes, Commerce is a bit high. Looks like it bucked the trend for falling cut-offs.

Check if you got into USYD early!

I think that the page linked above is the form you fill out after you've accepted your offer from UAC. Don't know what would be different if you submit it before you accept the offer.

    Main round offers

The UAIs were released by UAC about 15-20 minutes early, so quite possibly the same thing could happen with offers.

    So who got into USYD?

    Ah, cool. Thanks.

    Ethical issues in Pompeii

If I remember the exam correctly, it wasn't quite on ethics and morals, but on something tangentially related to it. I'll check.. Wait, I can't find anything on ethics and morals. Which question are you referring to? The closest is the 10-mark on the Lady of Oplontis, but that was about modern...

    Main Round Offers

If it was a main round offer and not from one of the earlier rounds, it was probably a clerical error or something like that.
