    Q8 2003 Hsc

Sulfuric acid is still a strong acid, so its first ionisation goes to completion. The second stage is in equilibrium H2SO4 + H2O ==> HSO4- + H3O+ HSO4- + H2O <==>...

    hhihihi pease predict ma uai!!!!

Is there something wrong with your class sizes? The reason I ask is that for a school which you said is ranked 42 (or thereabouts), the english/phys/chem/2u/3u maths classes seems a little low.

i wanna be in with the in crowd :P lol uai prediction please!

You cant change your assessment rank.. and its this rank that determines your assessment mark (based on your cohort's HSC performance). Take for example my ext 1 maths marks from last year. I was ranked 16th and for a mark of 42/50. So the 42 wouldve been equivalent to the 16th highest exam mark...

i wanna be in with the in crowd :P lol uai prediction please!

You keep your own exam mark, no one will take that away from you. So if he does get 90 for the EXAM, then thats that. The exam mark that correlates to your assessment rank will form your assessment mark. These two are then averaged to get your HSC mark. So theres plenty of room for improvement.

I think you can get over 97 fantasia. I dont think your philosophy mark is high enough considering the average is 87 (rank 25th lets say).

    Distinction Courses

None of the distinction courses are done at any universities. The philosophy material is delivered by the University of New England whilst comparitive literature and cosmology are delivered by Charles Sturt University. On a side note, they should make shirts saying "I survived cosmology"...

    multiple choice in HSC

As long as you make your answer clear, (i think its just an X) then youll get the mark. Remember that teachers mark the HSC by hand unlike the competitions where a computer picks up the lead markings, so just use a blue/black pen as instructed.

    Integral of cosec

    1/(cosecx + cotx) = (cosecx - cotx)/(cosec2x - cot2x) = (cosecx - cotx)/([1 - cos2x]/sin2x) = cosecx - cotx In short, log rules are your friend :)

    Dux

Dux at my school is given to the person with the highest UAI. But in terms of awards, we call the person who tops the most number of subjects, the 1st aggregate. Theres also 2nd and 3rd as well. Basically, the top 10 people in a subject get awarded points which are added up to determine who gets...
