Now i know that it scales well. but how much does it affect ur UAI? Lets say if I did 3 unit maths , chemistry, biology, business studies, advanced english, IPT and got a UAI of 90. Then I did 4 unit maths, Chemistry, Biology, Advanced English, IPT and...

Nah i dont think everyone can get 100. cus I know i try my hardest and I'm probably gonna get in the low 90's. a sad reality but true. But i choose not to see that reality and instead I'm aiming for 98 lol

I think I'm probably ranked about 10th in the year. In a test, 89% in 2 unit, 89% in 3 unit (dont understand it either!).

We only have 3 chemistry classes and 4 bio classes and 2 physics but a HUGE amount of people took up all the writing ones like Business studies, ancient and modern history.

I'm not sure how much time I study but I'm always prepared when the exam comes because I study for goods amount of time and I start like a week before the exam (more if i have more exams). Its just revising, finding out what you don't know, and then learning it...then couple of days before...

Ok so if I do 4 unit maths I'm going to drop one of my subjects. but this runs a HUGE risk because if I want to drop out, I can't because then I'll only be doing 11 units and my school doesn't allow that. So I'm going to be forced to continue doing 4 unit maths. Maths is my favourite subject...

So anyone applying to this? I've put in an application, just have to find a rotary sponsor ... hopefully offering to pay 75% of it :) hopeful/unrealistic I know lol It looks really good ,a girl who went to it last year from our school said it was an awesome experience! :rolleyes:

I think our year generally sucks at maths because in year 12 (year above) they have two 4-unit maths classes, but in our year (year 11) we have three, 3 unit classes and heaps of people are going to (or should) drop.

So when do you get given these personal preferences? i wish our school gave estimates.. so if you go for a uni course, and then you get a much lower (or higher) UAI, then can you change ur preference before the uni offers come out?

I heard from a friend the other day that the University of Sydney has really high cut offs by 'cheating'. When the university's decide on their UAI's, each has to release the drafts and all the university's work around that, but apperently Sydney Uni, when releasing the offical UAI cut offs...

I dont think my school gives out UAI estimates ... so how are you supposed to know what uni course to aim for? For example you might pick physcology (96 or something) when you could ony receive 88 .... So how are you supposed to pick? I know that you're supposed 2 have a rough idea but I...

Statistics show that people who do 12 units do better then people who do 10 units ... but thats probably because those people are the smart people that can handle it. so i dunno, I wish I could do 10 units but I'm probably gonna end up doing 13 units OR i could pick up extension 2 maths and...

I think the new system is better... no one asks for your results of your school certificate, only that you've done it. and anyone can do it. But saying that, the school certificate for me was great for me to get use to the whole official and strict procedure of assignments and exams. So maybe...
